He told her he loved her and asked if she'd marry him. At first he avoided her because he as unsure of how to act, but in the end he did tell her he loved her and asked her to marry him and she accepted.
Napralina-Victery. Napralina-Victery was the second eldest daughter of the Queen of Kildenree. This was suitable because a sister would want to see her sister get married. Susena-Ofelienna was the next eldest daughter of the Queen and Rianno-Hancery was the youngest son. Enna was one of Ani's best friends in Bayern and Talianna was part of Ani's own name.
"Gilsa, I'm going to faint again.". The first time Ani met Gilsa she fainted in her yard. This time she gave Gilsa a fair warning before she fainted.

She gave it to Talone as thanks. Ungolad did chase Ani, but he grabbed her foot as she got onto a horse, not her hand. Selia had all of Ani's possessions to use as proof that she was the princess of Kildenree so she didn't need her ring. To thank Gilsa for helping her, Ani did work to find roots in the woods.
Geric. Conrad was the gooseboy that Ani helped to tend the geese. Jok was an injured goose that Ani allowed to sleep in her bed until it was healed. After it was healed it continued to sleep in her bed. Razo was another boy that worked with the animals.

She covered her hair with a hat and dyed her eyebrows with thornroot.. Ani's guards that betrayed her searched for her in the capitol of Bayern. She knew they would recognize someone with blonde hair and light eye brows so she took the precaution of dying her eyebrows as well as covering her hair.

A blonde braid. Ani saw Ungolad's blonde braid when she looked up at the waterfall. On their journey to Bayern, Ungolad made several attempts to kill Ani. His first try was knocking a boulder down a hill while she was by the waterfall alone. The only reason she survived is she heard a bird told her "Fly away, Danger." She then reached up to grip a branch and began to step away from the edge of the cliff.
To preserve peace between the two countries. Ani had to marry the prince of Bayern to preserve peace between the two countries. Because of this she could no longer be the Queen of Kildenree, so her younger brother Calib-Loncris would take the thrown. She was not in love with the prince of Bayern because she had never met him before.
Stallion. Ani's aunt told her that a horse is born with its name on its tongue. If you hear its name and then speak it you can speak mind to mind with it. Ani was there when Falada was born and heard him speak his own name "Falada". Because she heard it, they then shared a mental connection between one another.
Aunt. They never mentioned Ani's aunt's name in the book. Napralina-Victery was Ani's sister, Isilee was her grandmother, and Selia was her lady in waiting.
To be placed naked in a barrel full of nails and dragged through the streets by four white horses. Selia wanted this to happen to Ani although she knew that the real punishment for treason was banishment.
Guard. Geric tells Ani he is the prince's guard and she falls in love with him, not knowing his true identity.
Geric. Ani falls in love with Geric without knowing his real identity, and is shocked when she finds out at the end of the book.
Wind. This ability to interact with the wind helps Ani a lot through the book and even saves her life.

Gilsa and Finn. Gilsa and Finn are very kind hearted and help Ani a lot throughout the book.
Conrad. Conrad is a very interesting character; at first he hates Ani, but then warms to her at the end. He's jealous of all the friends she's making while he only has a few.
Selia. Selia is a brilliant villain she gets what she wants and is very manipulative.
Falada. Ani loved Falada even more dearly because they could speak to each other in their thoughts. When Falada is killed Ani is heartbroken.
Kildenree. Ani is the original princess from Kildenree, but then at the end of the book she marries the Prince of Bayern.
