3. First he asked out Rachel. Then he asked out Jennifer. Then he asked out Kate. Ouch! No wonder Lisa didn't want to go out with him!
Hanford. Emerson was Kate's last name before she changed it to O'Malley. Richman is Dave's last name, and Diamond is Quinn's last name.
Cassie. She was a firefighter with Jack until she was injured in a fire. Shari is Marcus' fiance. Linda was Dave's girlfriend in "Danger in the Shadows". Meghan will be featured with Stephen in "The Rescuer".
flood. A flood plays an integral part of the story when it conceals the evidence of a murder. A tornado is an important plot point in "The Rescuer".
Montana. He has a ranch in Montana. His ranch was featured in two of the books, "The Guardian" and "The Truth Seeker".
His prayers weren't answered when his mom died.. When he was a child his mother died from pneumonia. He stopped praying after that because his prayers weren't answered.
mole. She found a mole towards the end of the story, but she gave that to the local elementary.
Rugsby. Jack won Rugsby the Raccoon at the carnival for Kate when they were teens.

England. Dave's father was ambassador to England, so he grew up there.

Jack and Rachel. Both Jack and Rachel accept Christ as their savior in "The Protector".
Jennifer. Jennifer is the youngest in the O'Malley clan, and was the first to become a Christian.
yes. "Danger in the Shadows" is about Dave's sister Sara, who is being stalked by her former kidnapper.
Jack. Jack is "The Protector"...book 4. This could be a bit tricky, as Stephen once was a firefighter but is now a paramedic.
Cole. Gage is Rachel's good friend. Quinn and Lisa become engaged, and Adam is Sara's husband.
The Negotiator. Kate learns that she has a brother who may be a suspect in an airline bombing.
Jennifer. Jennifer married Tom. Kate and Dave became engaged at the end of "The Healer", and Lisa is engaged to Quinn Diamond. Sara isn't even a sibling, but is Dave's sister.
U.S. marshal. Marcus is a U.S. marshal.
Quinn Diamond. Quinn and Marcus are partners. Quinn and Lisa end up getting together in "The Truth Seeker".
he writes on a pad of paper. Dave was trapped behind the counter, and he communicated with Kate by writing on a pad of paper. She answered with simple gestures or questions that were asked to the hostage taker.
cancer. Jennifer had cancer in her spine, and she died from it at the end of "The Healer".
Chicago. While the stories sometime go to other cities, the series is based in Chicago.
Hank. Hank is Cole's dog. Butterball is what Jennifer calls her puppy, and Kate has a cat named Marvel. King Henry is Adam Black's dog.
the resurrection. Lisa is a forensic pathologist, and doesn't believe a person could be resurrected after three days; as she said, she knows what a dead body looks like after three days.
Kate and Marcus. Marcus and Kate were older than the others and struck up their friendship first.
