 Maison Ikkoku
He fell in love with Kyoko at first sight. Just when he was about to leave, Kyoko shows up and it's love at first sight!
Othello. Just when Yusaku was about to give Kyoko a broach with the lines he had thought of a million times, Kentaro comes up and gives her an Othello game and uses Yusaku's lines that he took so long to think of!
4. You will see this several times throughout the Manga.
He was sure he'd fail it. Kyoko got drunk and swore she'd make sure he was at his next exam test to make sure he'd go to it.
4989. This is quite clearly indicated. Good thing Yusaku passed, he may have run away for another year if he hadn't!
Aunt/Niece. If Kyoko marries again, they will be completely unrelated.

For fun. Yusaku is a little upset because he didn't find out what he looked like.
Kyoko. People in the neighborhood recognized him for this.
Danced naked and begged Kyoko to look. This caused problems later.
C. Kyoko got an A, and someone else that likes her... (but he would never tell her!)

Ice. His ice melted and he had to look for another job because of it!
Where did you go for summer vacation?. Since he never gets to go anywhere, it embarrasses him.
Ikuko and Kentaro. This, of course, caused HUGE problems with driving for Mitaka!
Mitaka. This made Mitaka's beach trip horrible, when Yusaku found out, he did all kinds of mean (yet funny) things to Mitaka with the dog.
Jellyfish. Kyoko thought it was Yusaku at first, until they both discovered they were being stung by jellyfish.

Mr. Soichiro. This was very mean (but funny) for Yusaku to do to Mitaka.
Kyoko. Since Kyoko rarely drives, everyone thought they were going to die!
Liquor Store. This is where they first met, and now they're dating!
She bought contacts. She made enough money part-time to get contacts, which she seems to have an obsession with.
A concert. Yusaku was just about to invite Kyoko to a movie when he saw Mitaka and Kyoko about to leave in Mitaka's car to go somewhere.
Scary. You can tell by the rest of the theater and by some of Yusaku's comments after the movie.
Puppet. Kyoko got jealous because a lot of girls from the club kept calling him.
There was something under her contact. Everyone thought that he did something mean to her and broke up with her, which he was about to do, but he and Kozue just saw another couple break up and how horribly it went. This made Yusaku think about what may happen between himself and Kozue, so he decided not to break up just yet.
Ma-Maison. Kyoko thought Godai said Mama San, the bar where Akemi works. Godai thought he had been stood up!
Mama-San. Akemi, Yotsuya, and Mrs. Ichinose pointed out that Mama-San and Ma-Maison are pronounced similar and that Godai was probably at Ma-Maison. By the time she got to Ma-Masion, it was too late for a date!
Godai's Room. This annoys Godai very much as he can never study. Of course, no one respects his wishes and they just continue to party.

Prince. Godai made the princess puppet that Kyoko eventually used. According to the fellow puppeteers, he spent ages getting the face to look just right, apparantly just like Kyoko!
Playing tennis. Mitaka offered to carry Kyoko to the hospital. When Ms. Ichinose told him he was pushing it with his over-the-top care, Mitaka told her "Please don't misjudge me! This is my duty as a coach!". Ms. Ichinose promptly responded with "Oh? So if I get hurt, you'll carry ME that way?".
Mitaka. According to everyone who tastes Mitaka's cooking, Mitaka is a really good cook. Unfourtunatly, everyone else was also kind enough to bring Kyoko food, so she ended up having three dinners!
Yes. Kyoko met Soichiro in High School when he was substituting as a teacher. Kyoko pretended she had no umbrella so that she could walk with Soichiro. Her dog is also named Soichiro, after its owner.
Hat. Kyoko gives everyone a scarf for Christmas. Kozue knitted the hat herself.
