Amanda Quick Trivia Questions

1. In "Desire", what are the 'wedding gifts' of Prioress Margaret, Eunice and Beatrice to Lady Clare upon her marriage to Sir Gareth of Wyckmere?

From Quiz
A Quick Quiz on Amanda Quick

Answer: vials of chicken blood

Thinking that Lady Clare had engaged in an affair with a scholar years earlier, the three women, who were her good friends, sought to protect her honor and keep her safe from her new and reputably dangerous husband. Since virginity was such a matter of importance in those days, they gave Lady Clare vials of chicken blood to pour on her sheet during her wedding night so as to give the impression that she was a virgin to her husband (which in truth she really was). As it happens, on her wedding night, Lady Clare drugs her husband before they go to bed then pours the chicken blood on the sheets afterwards (and everything would have gone smoothly if she had not poured too much).
