Yes. He has a daughter Sarah by a woman named Jennifer that he had an affair with. They never married. He has two children with Weather, and an older adopted daughter.
Elle Kruger. Elle Kruger is now a nun and she goes by the name Sister Mary Joseph. She and Lucas have know each other since they were kids and he calls her Elle.
Weather. He married Weather Karkinnen, a doctor that he met in 'Winter Prey'.

Rules of Prey. 'Rules of Prey' started it all!
Creating and writing role playing games.. Lucas writes role playing games that have made him very wealthy. In fact, his wealth is a common gossip subject for the cops who have him under surveillance.
He is under surveillance.. Lucas is under investigation, as the Chief thinks Lucas might be the killer, until the killer strikes while Lucas is watched by Internal Affairs.
Elle. Elle and Lucas started school together, and parted in high school when Lucas was sent to public school. Elle joined a convent and Lucas became a cop. In later years they renewed their friendship, and became close friends.
Daniels. Daniels was the chief in the first few books of the "Prey" series. He has a more prominent role, with a bit of an ironic twist, in the book "Eyes of Prey".
There was no trial.. Lucas shot and killed the Maddog as he attempted his second attack on Carla.
Texas. The Maddog had a slight accent when he spoke; the only victim to survive an attack was also from the same area and she noticed it. This was one of the vital clues that helped Lucas find the Maddog.
Notes. At each scene, he would leave a note with a specific rule, such as "Never kill anyone you know". The existence of these notes were known only to the Maddog and the police.
Jennifer. Lucas loves women, and in this book his long term relationship with Jennifer has resulted in her pregnancy. He was also involved with Carla, one of the Maddog's chosen targets.
Attorney. The Maddog was an attorney, and through his contacts with the county, he encountered and selected many of his victims.
Porsche. He drove a Porsche and the cops were proud that one of their own would have the money for one, but envious that they didn't.
Nine days. In the nine days since the first murders were found Lucas slept with one woman, considered resuming a relationship with two others and worried about a former lover. He was a very busy man. No wonder the case took nine days to solve.
Porsche. Due to the car's quick acceleration and his knowledge of the area Lucas is able to easily outperform and lose the police cars.
Burnt River. Alie'e, real name, Sharon Olson, was born and raised in Burnt River. Until the age of seventeen she lived with her parents and brother Tom. She became a model at the age of sixteen after many years on the beauty pageant circuit.
Darwin, Casey, and Kingston are all townships in Meeker County, Minnesota.
Incest. Like their biblical namesakes Jael and Amnon had been lovers. During their childhoods the brother and sister had been separated, for fifteen years, when their parents had divorced. They meet again in a professional capacity - Jael is now a model, and Amnon is a photographer - and become attracted to each other. After a fling Jael leaves modeling, and Amnon, to become a potter.
Rifle. The murderer used a .44 Ruger rifle to shoot Marcy. We find out that there were two murderers with one of them looking to avenge Alie'e on those he believed where responsible for her death. Marcy is shot outside Jael's apartment block and spends the rest of the story in hospital.
Elle. Elle Kruger, also known as Sister Mary Joseph, is Lucas's oldest friend. She was a professor of Psychology at St. Anne's College before entering the nunnery. Lucas asks her whether the death of the model could be related to her sexuality. She is also able to give some background information on Tom Olson, the model's brother.

Marcy. Marcy Sherrill, originally in Homicide, had moved from her previous placement to act as protection for Jael when she was shot and is raced to hospital. After a long operation, where complications set in, Marcy has to deal with internal bleeding and the onset of pneumonia.
Jael. Jael, and her brother Amnon, are originally suspected of the murder of Alie'e. It is not until Amnon is murdered that Jael is placed under police protection by the Chief of Police.
Minnesota. The murders occur in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with the first death being wrongly attributed to a famous model. For most of the book Lucas concentrates on who would murder the model, not realising that the subsequent murders fall under two different motives.
