The Witch of Endor. The Witch of Endor gives Sophie all of her memories thus teaching her in magic. At first this proves to be a bit scary to Sophie.
Badb and Macha. Badb and Macha WERE her sisters. But they live inside Morrigan now, giving her more power.
John Dee. Dr. Dee destroys The World Tree by stabbing it with Excalibur, the ice sword. By killing it he weakened Hekate, thus killing her.
Yggdrasill. The Yggdrasill, or The World Tree, is as tall as a skyscraper. The most amazing thing about it is that it is Hekate's house, hollow and completely furnished, yet it is still living. Is that possible? In the Shadowrealm it is.
The Goddess with Three Faces. Hekate is called the Goddess with Three Faces because in the morning she is seen as a young girl, in the afternoon a middle-aged woman, and in the evening, an old woman.
Hekate. Hekate made a wind that swept the crows away after Nicholas contacted her.
The Morrigan. The Morrigan is what the Irish call the Crow Goddess and the Goddess of death and destruction.
'She stood taller than Dee and was dressed from head to foot in black leather. Draped over her shoulders, with its full hood pulled around her face and sweeping to the ground behind her, was a cloak made entirely of raven's feathers.'
Hekate and Bastet aren't Next-Generation. And Scathach is the good guy.
Nick and Perry Fleming. This is what the twins knew Nicholas and Perenelle as.
Golems. `Golems are men created of mud and clay, brought to life by a single word of power.' Dee uses polished black stones for the Golems' eyes. Golems work well in the damp but are fairly useless in dry climate.
John Dee. Dee's magic smells like brimstone (or rotten eggs to Sophie and Josh). Nicholas' magic smelled like peppermint. Josh's smelled like oranges, and Hekate's smelled like pomegranates.
