Wood. Like the old tales, the vampires in the books aren't immune to wood (like a stake in the heart). And on the subject, werewolves have silver as a weakness, and I believe iron or steel is a witch's weakness.
It is a blue fire.. This fire is stronger than normal fire and would be able to defeat the darkness threatening the world.
Jez. Jez is sent to find the Wild Power by Circle Daybreak. When she gets staked and her blood flows, the Power is released.
Falcon. He is made into one so he will be easy to carry around.

Maya . Maya was the first vampire. After her quest for immortality she found out that to be imortal she had to drink the blood of babies; what she didn't know is that she had to drink blood every night thereafter.
cousin. In "Secret Vampire" James said that his cousin was threatening to visit; Ash was the one who came.
Rose . James tells Poppy that the Lamia have an iris as their symbol and made vampires have a rose.
witch. Although James turns her into a vampire, she is a lost witch from her father's side of the family.
John. Quinn tells Rashel that she is the first person since Dove Redfren to know his first name.
cherry ice lollies. Poppy realized while eating the cherry lollipops that for the last few days she'd had cravings for anything red and semi-liquid.
A snake. Thea removes the snakes vemon with a spell.
cellar under a pile of clothes. They found her under a pile of clothes in the cellar mummified, as that is what happens when vampires die.
Gary. You only find this out at the end when you find out he's a soul that will not move on and not an angel.
old soul. Hugh is an old soul and so is Hannah - they both have had many lives.
Old powers. The old powers are rising and giving the night world new powers such as psychic blasts.
Vampire/human. Her mother was human and her father a vampire. They were both killed when she was young. She was looked after by her uncle Braken, who at first gave her a rabbit to see if she had her vampire powers.
unity. In "Dark Angel", We find out what it is as a lost witch goes into the Harmans' store.
get staked by hundreds of different sized stakes. The goat is killed this way to scare Jade, Rowen and Kestrel. This is how their Uncle Hoge was killed.
Rashel. Rashel traveled finding vampires and killing them hoping to one day find the vampire that killed her mother and took Timmy. When they die it is easy to mark their skin. She puts four scratch marks on its forehead and says 'This kitten has claws' (It may have been cat not kitten) There is a night world reward for the capture of the cat.
Delos. Ehen Delos and Maggie are about to be hunted by the nobles and hunter Redfren. Delos ends up bleeding and uses the blue fire, leaving no trace of Hunter Redfren or the nobles.
Jez, Delos and Iliana. Jez Redfren the human/vampire halfbreed, Delos Redfren the vampire Prince, and Ilianna Domanik the witch child.
What shape they take. The first house are descendants of the first shapeshifters, who were evil and were put to sleep by the witches; all but the youngest, who was about four years old. The witches raised her. The first shapeshifters could change into any animal they wished and could take as many shapes as they wanted. Today the first house can choose their shape, but the first time they change it will be the only shape they can change into.
Grandma Harman. Grandma Harman is attacked by shapeshifters.
Drache. Drache means "dragon", which is what the first shapeshifters were.
panther. During the fight with the dragon Gelen touches her, taking on the shape of a panther (choosing his shape), but he is a golden colour while she is black.
Hunter. Hunter Redfren married a Harman witch, so that now all Redfren vampires have some witch blood in them and all Harman Witches have some vampire blood in them.
