Jason. To the people of the Territories, Jason is like Jesus. They use his name as a blessing, or as a blasphemy. Jason died when Jack almost died. Jack was almost smothered as a baby in his crib by a pillow wielded by Morgan. We can only guess the Jason died much the same way. The only reason that Jack lived was because he was discovered quickly, and Phil Sawyer performed CPR.

Captain Farren. Captain Farren drags Jack around, yelling at him for not washing all the flagstones as a coverup to get Jack in to see the queen.
Morgan of Orris. Morgan of Orris is in body shape, nothing like Morgan Sloat. Morgan of Orris is skinny, and has a clubbed foot. Morgan Sloat is a somewhat large man, with perfectly normal feet.
Lori. Lori seems to like being slapped around by Smokey, because whenever he hits her, she always gets this expression, like this is the way things are supposed to be.
Smokey Updike . Smokey Updike always has a white paper cook's hat perched on his head at a precarious angle.
Speedy . Although Lester 'Speedy' Parker is far from fast, that's his nickname.
The Territories. The Territories is a medieval place, and they speak another language there, that you speak automatically.
The Alhambra. This is where Lily and Phil came for two weeks, when they heard that Lily won her award. This was where she spent the happiest two weeks of her life, and where little Jacky was conceived.
