Drano. Vonnegut's own mother committed suicide - in fact, many of his books are almost autobiographical in their frankness and Vonnegut is not afraid of bringing his personal life into the story.
Eliot B. Rosewater. Eliot is another character of Vonnegut's who appears in more than one book. Kilgore Trout, a hack science fiction writer who never gets published except in dirty magazines and a self-confessed alter-ego of Vonnegut, is probably the one who appears the most.
