Bernard V. O'Hare. The others are all characters from 'Hocus Pocus'.

Drano. Vonnegut's own mother committed suicide - in fact, many of his books are almost autobiographical in their frankness and Vonnegut is not afraid of bringing his personal life into the story.
Eliot B. Rosewater. Eliot is another character of Vonnegut's who appears in more than one book. Kilgore Trout, a hack science fiction writer who never gets published except in dirty magazines and a self-confessed alter-ego of Vonnegut, is probably the one who appears the most.

The Complicated Futility of Ignorance. Well, it's the only one that sounds right, isn't it. That one came from 'Hocus Pocus'.
He made non-biodegradable plastics for a firm called Barrytron. Hartke's grandfather was the gardener, Vonnegut himself worked for GE, and the sales manager at the dealership was in fact Harry Le Sabre.

A more gracious creature would be hard to imagine.' Harmoniums feed on vibrations. Boaz accidently kills thousands by forgetting to turn off a recording of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
