Blitzkrieg Bop. The lead singer and everyone else in the room urges Bartleby to get on stage and sing with the band. The song "Blitzkrieg Bop" was made famous by the Ramones and can be found on the album of the same name. Bartleby references the artists by saying that during his performance, he was possessed by the spirit of Johnny Ramone.
When Bartleby's parents drop him off at college they meet the dean, Uncle Ben, who goes on a long spiel about the point of college and education. At the end of his speech he says there is only one reason kids attend college. What does he say the reason is? | Did You Get "Accepted"?

Before Uncle Ben gives the reason why kids attend college, he looks over at Bartleby who is sitting wide-eyed and nervous with his fingers over his mouth, praying that the fake dean won't say anything inappropriate and unprofessional. Needless to say, Bartleby is relieved to hear what Uncle Ben says and is thankful his parents bought it.
Football. Hands is played by Columbus Short. His character is first introduced during the graduation party. Bartleby offers his sympathy to Hands for his injury and loss of scholarship, complimenting him on being "one of the best receivers in the state." Hands responds by correcting B., empasizing that he is "the best" receiver but adds "no knee, no scholarship."

Yale. Rory is played by Maria Thayer. Rory announces that she did not get accepted to Yale during a graduation party for the class of 2006. After sharing this news she makes her way to a table and finishes somebody's drink off in one gulp.

Mow the lawn. Monica is played by Blake Lively. Monica explains to Bartleby that her family's mower broke and her parents requested that she ask Bartleby to mow their lawn. Of course, B. graciously accepts the offer given by the girl of his dreams.
South Harmon Institute of Technology. Bartleby is played by Justin Long. Bartleby makes up the fact that his fake university is a sister school to South Harmon. Eventually, when the bad guys from South Harmon announce this is not true, to all the parents and students, Bartleby's brilliant idea blows up in his face.

Beta Kappa Epsilon. Beta Kappa Epsilon was the fraternity at Harmon College that Schrader wanted to pledge, because his father was a brother. He eventually decided to leave Harmon College all together, when the Beta Kappa Epsilon brothers attempted to shut down South Harmon.

Don't Believe Everything You Read. Bartleby offhandedly mentioned to Schrader that some of the students started a school newspaper. Bartleby said that there was a great article in there about not believing everything you read.

He broke his leg and his sports scholarship was now void.. Hands was a football player and was depending on a sports scholarship to go to college. He broke his leg though, so his scholarship was void and he had no hopes of going to college with his grades and SAT scores. Later on, he told Bartleby that his father was going to give him his own bus route if he didn't go to college, which prompted him to ask Bartleby for an acceptance letter to South Harmon.

Photography. When Bartleby visited Monica at Harmon, she told him that she really wanted to take Photography but couldn't because she wasn't a graphic design major or photography major. She did mention to Bartleby that she was taking Ancient Roman History. She never mentioned anything about Creative Writing and Mathematical Concepts however.

He got a zero on the SATs.. Bartleby, Schrader, Rory, and Hands saw Glen working at the gas station. When they asked him why he was working, he said that he got a zero on the SATs and couldn't go to college.

Psychology. When Bartleby was talking to his dad on the phone, he asked him what classes he was taking. He saw two people making a drug deal and said he was taking business, saw people gambling and said he was taking statistics, and saw girls sunbathing in bikinis and said he was taking anatomy. He never mentioned psychology.
Why was Rory not accepted to Harvard? | Accepted

She didn't apply.. Rory never mentioned applying to Harvard at all in the movie. Yale was actually her school of choice since she was a little girl and they rejected her for reasons that were never mentioned in the movie.
