Alex Cross. Played by Morgan Freeman who was also Alex Cross in 'Kiss the Girls'. This movie was the sequel. Both movies are based on books written by James Patterson.
Megan Rose . Her father was Senator Hank Rose, Mrs. Rose was played by Penelope Ann Miller.
Gary Soneji. Played by Michael Wincott, he posed as Megan's teacher for 2 yrs while planning the kidnapping. His patience and determination reminded Alex of a spider. 'And I happen to like spiders.'
Monica Potter. She was also in 'Patch Adams' with Robin Williams, and 'Con Air' with Nicolas Cage.
Charles Lindbergh. The kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby became known as the 'Crime of the Century' Soneji wanted to do the same thing. He brought Alex in to make sure he was 'properly appreciated'. He wanted to become a living legend.
Aces and Eights. Jezzie said her father won a gun in a game of poker, aces and eights, and that was all she knew about her father.
10 million. 10 million in diamonds.

Red. The movie starts out with Dr. Cross and his partner trying to catch a rapist. The rapist is driving the car with Dr. Cross' partner in it.

the front wheel drum. You see the police drop a rope over the bridge, and you see them trying to loop it over the exposed wheel brake on the passenger side. They are trying to rescue Dr. Cross' partner from when the car flipped and flew off the bridge. There are some great special effects in this scene.

A toy ship. This scene follows shortly after Megan Rose is kidnapped from school. Alex Cross' wife walks in and tells him that he needs to get over his partner getting killed. You see him working on a miniture boat. The kidnapper is trying to get Dr. Cross involved in the case because the kidnapper is a fan of Dr. Cross' books and theories.
DCPD& DC Police. When he shows up to Senator Rose's house in Washington D.C. he shows his badge. Later on in that scene the FBI agent mentions Cross is from DCPD, and is a beat-up cop.

In the trash. While Dr. Cross is trying to meet up with the kidnapper, after being sent to multiple places, he receives phone calls from the kidnapper. There are two cellphones that are used in this series of scenes. The first cell phone he picks up is at the hotel, but he is told to leave it there. Then he picks up another cell in the trash at the train station, and continues to use it while delivering the diamonds to the kidnapper.
a boat. This is the first place you see her after she is kidnapped, when she wakes up from being drugged.
Dimitri. Cross says "Who is Senator Rose.... a nobody. Who is the bigger fish here?" Jezzie mentions that Dimitri would be a bigger target and that if he was to be kidnapped, it would cause an international incident.
An explosion from a battery pack. When she comes out of the bedroom, she is holding some dishes in her hand. After she puts the dishes in the sink, she drops the battery on the stove top, and coughs at the same time so as not to get caught.
