Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Charlie, Carrie, Paul. Charlie was the oldest, Carrie the middle child and Paul the youngest.
They saw her riding her broom. It was her first time riding it and she crashed.
Paul. That was because he was the one who had the bedknob at the time of the spell.
London. They went to London to find Prof. Emelius Browne.

Emelius Browne. The found him in the street doing not so good magic tricks.
Naboombu. Paul had the star they were looking for the whole time in his book about Naboombu.
Cosmic Creepers. It was a really mean cat.
Turning people into rabbits. She would do this to Emelius whenever he got really annoying.
Tap the knob three times and a quarter turn to the left. He was little and had to figure out which hand was his left. His sister Carrie told him.
The Home Guard. The movie was set during World War Two.
Mary Norton. Mary Norton was born in London but came to America in 1941 to help with the World War 2 effort. She began writing her famous series, “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” during her time in America. “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” is actually a set of three stories; “The Magic Bedknob” (1943), “Bonfires and Broomsticks” (1947), and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” (1957). This information was found in Mary Norton's biography.
England in the year 1940. This is written on the screen at the beginning of the movie along with these words: Again, a time for valor. A time of whispered events. Now faded with the passing years.
Pepperinge Eye. The man who played Colonel Heller was John Ericson. John Ericson played in many lesser known films throughout his film career, although he studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts with many major film stars including Grace Kelley and Don Murray.
Bombings in London. The movie is set during World War 2 and the children Carrie, Paul, and Charlie are sent to the countryside because the Nazis are bombing London. This is revealed by Mrs. Hobday (played by Tessie O'Shea).
11-12. Carrie says: "What’s come over you Charlie? You’re no fun anymore."
Ms. Price: "How old is Charles?"
Carrie: "11 going on 12."
Ms. Price: "My father always called that the age of not believing."
Soldiers on the Old Home Guard. In both "Mary Poppins" and "Bedknobs and Broomsticks", the Sherman brothers wrote all the songs; including “Soldiers on the Old Home Guard”. The song, "The Beautiful Briny Sea", actually started off in "Mary Poppins".
Cosmic Creepers. Cosmic Creepers is actually a very pretty cat until they insert patches of fur that had fallen out with bobby pins to make him look scraggly and mean. No one knows whether Ms. Price called her cat Cosmic Creepers or Cosmic Creepus.
Emelius Browne. Emelius Browne is played by David Tomlinson who also played the Mr. Banks in "Mary Poppins" of which he is most recognized from. In "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" he is a more friendly and joyful soul.
The Famous Traveling Spell. The children see Ms. Price flying her broom and she crashes so they decide to blackmail Ms. Price into giving them what they want in exchange for keeping secret the fact that she is a witch.
David Tomlinson. David Tomlinson did a wonderful portrayal of Emelius Browne, the witchcrafting professer who turns out to be a bit of a fraud. David Tomlinson can also be seen in such movies as "Mary Poppins" and "The Love Bug". I made the other 3 names up.
Carrie, Paul, Charlie. Carrie, Paul and Charlie Rawlins were sent to live with Miss Price during the Second World War, for their own safety. Cindy O'Callaghan played Carrie Rawlins, Roy Snart played Paul Rawlins and Ian Weighill played Charlie Rawlins.
Eglentine. Miss Eglentine Price, played by Angela Lansbury, reluctantly agrees to take care of the children. We find out her first name when Professer Browne asks her. He then sings a song entitled "Eglentine".
She's a witch.. Miss Price practises witchcraft, which the children find out about. Miss Price learns witchcraft from Professer Emelius Browne, whom we later meet.
London. They travel on the bed to London, so Miss Price can meet Professer Browne. The kids use this as an opportunity to look around the streets and remember their times in London.
Portobello Road. They go here so Miss Price can find a missing part of her book. This takes up quite a bit of the film, and shows all the characters in different scenes, dancing and singing. The kids really enjoy it on Portebello Road.
Refereeing a soccer match. With the competition between the animals, the ball going back and forth, the Lion's temper, and Professor Brown getting repeatedly trampled by the herd, the soccer match on the Isle of Naboombu has got to be counted as the highlight of the film!
Professer Browne referees the game, to try and get the King's medallion, which has the Substitutiary Locomotion incantation imprinted on it.
The Armour. The armour come alive to fight against the Nazi's. It comes to life due to Miss Price finally getting the Substitutiary Locomotion spell right.
Treguna Mekoides Tracorum Satis Dee. Treguna Mekoides Tracorum Satis Dee was the incantation to the spell that make objects come alive. Paul found this out from his book, that was about the Isle of Naboombu. The Substitutiary Locomotion spell was in this book because this was where it originated. Miss Price cast the Substitutiary Locomotion spell at the very end to ward of the Nazis.
