Lux. The name of the soap is Lifebuoy, like those things that float in the harbor? I worked at a grocery store as a kid, and I stocked every type of soap imaginable including Lifebuoy. With that being said, Ralphie mentions his preference was for Lux, but went on to describe how Palmolive tasted.

Cleveland Street. The film was set in Northern Indiana, but the actual filming took place in Cleveland, Ohio. The name of Ralph's street is possibly a tribute to that fact.
