Congo
2. After Amy, Peter, Karen, and Monroe escape from the volcano, Peter goes in search of Amy. He finds her with Mountain Gorillas, and as he's talking to her, she plucks two yellow flowers from the ground and gives them to Peter. When Monroe and Karen come upon them, they are surprised to see Amy with a silverback. When the earth rumbles, Peter asks Monroe if Amy will be alright. Monroe responds, "they know what to do, it's us I'm worried about." As Peter turns around for one final look at Amy, she is nowhere to be found. Amy is finally home where she belongs...Africa.
Zinj. This can be seen in the beginning of the movie when Homolka opens a book. The book has the name of the lost city on it.
We are watching you.. When they enter the lost city of Zinj, they come upon hieroglyphics that are repeated over and over. That same night, when the Gorilla guards tried to attack the camp, Homolka comes out of his tent and said he had translated the hieroglyphics. Homolka said that they mean, "we are watching you."
When they come across Charles' destroyed camp, Karen is dumbfounded to find all of the equipment missing. How much did she say the equipment weighed? | "Congo" For Diehards : Part 1

300 lbs.. The only thing that lets them know that the camp was there, was the border alarm that Amy accidentally set off. All of the equipment was gone, and Karen said that there must have been about 300 lbs. of equipment. She wondered where it all went.
California Dreaming. Peter started out singing it by himself, then everyone else joined in.
Cartier's. Monroe said this to Homolka when Homolka was telling them about how the Gorilla knows where King Solomon's Mines are located.
Gorilla Prozac. While on the plane, Monroe gives Amy a banana. Monroe tells Peter that it will calm her down. When Peter asks what was in the banana, Monroe replies, "Gorilla Prozac."
5. According to Monroe, Homolka had been found dehydrated and near death five years before. Monroe said that he was the one who rescued Homolka before and he knew that Homolka was trying to find King Solomon's Mines yet again.
Tanzania. Peter asks where they are, and Monroe tells him that they are in Tanzania. While here, Monroe tells Homolka that he knows what he's up to.
When Karen, Homolka, Richard, Monroe, Peter and Amy are captured by the Congonese, they are brought in front of Captain Wanta. Wanta tells them to have some cake. What kind of cake does Homolka take? | "Congo" For Diehards : Part 1

Sesame. In this scene, Captain Wanta, played by Delroy Lindo, asks Karen why she quit the C.I.A., and she tells him that he has a big mouth. He then tells Monroe that his timing couldn't have been worse. Wanta then belittles Homolka, who is eating a sesame cake. When Homolka tries to answer with his mouth full, Wanta screams, "stop eating my sesame cake!" Homolka immediately spits the cake out in his hand and puts it on the table. Captain Wanta then tells Karen and Monroe that it will be the Gorilla that will get them across the border. He said his people were so afraid to be viewed by the American people as being cruel to animals.
3. When the plane arrives in the Congo, they are met by Eddie Ventro, played by Joe Pantoliano of "Eddie and The Cruisers" fame. As they all pile in the land rover, Eddie offers to buy Amy and Peter tells him that she is not for sale. When he hears Amy talking, he says, "a talking Gorilla! I can feel the money hairs on the back of my neck going woo woo woo". As Eddie is driving, explosions can be heard. Eddie then meets up with Monroe Kelly, played by Ernie Hudson, and asks him what happened. Monroe tells him that the Congonese had blown up the President's car, without the President in it. Eddie then says, "this is crazy! this is the third government in two years!"
Martini. Peter hands Amy a martini with two olives to calm her. Karen says, "are you seving that ape a martini?", and Peter responds, "she's allowed one to calm her down."
Hardboiled egg. After Peter and Richard make Amy fasten her seatbelt, Peter hands Amy a hardboiled egg to eat. Amy looks at it, then looks at Karen, then she throws the hardboiled egg at Karen.
$56,000. Peter and Richard are helping the runway crew pack the plane, when Karen Ross comes over and asks to be included in the manifest. Peter respectfully declines, and Karen says that if she's not on the plane then her visas are worthless. Meanwhile, Herkermer Homolka, played by Tim Curry, walks over and tells Peter that there was an interruption in his credit flow, and now he can't pay for the fuel. Karen offers to pay for it, but Peter says he will. Peter then asks how much it costs, and Homolka says, "it costs $56,000." Karen then tells Peter that he does need her.
Wild Safari in 3D. Amy and Peter, with 3D glasses on, are looking at "Wild Safari in 3D". Amy is very excited and asks Peter to tickle her.
Mountain. Amy is a Mountain Gorilla. Peter says this during the demonstration, and to the college president. In real life, there are no Mountain Gorillas in captivity. Mountain Gorillas cannot live in zoos, and the few that actually make it to the zoos alive, die a short while later. In order for one baby Mountain Gorilla to be captured, the whole family is killed trying to protect the baby. The only Gorillas in zoos worldwide are Lowland Gorillas. Lowland Gorillas are a close cousin of the Mountain Gorilla.
Mr. Ed. Boyd, played by Stuart Pankin of "Dinosaurs" fame, says to Eleanor Romy, "this is unbelievable! This isn't 'Mr. Ed'!".
Virungas. This can clearly be seen while Peter is talking to the audience.
7 years old. When Dr. Peter Elliot, played by Dylan Walsh, is giving a demonstration on how Amy can talk with the use of a special glove, Amy tells Peter, and everyone listening, that she is 7 years old and that she is pretty.
Lovey. Amy has a stuffed monkey that Richard and Peter call Lovey. Whenever she is upset, afraid, or in need of reassurance, they give her Lovey to comfort her.
Green. When we first see Amy, played by Lorene Noh and Misty Rosas, she is painting a picture and Richard, played by Grant Heslov, says that green is Amy's favorite color.
Travicom. Dr. Karen Ross, played by Laura Linney, is Travicom's best employee. In the beginning of the movie, Karen sees a gray creature attack the camp that her ex-fiance, Charles, is a part of. R.B. Travis, played by Joe Don Baker, then sends Karen to the Congo in search of his son, Charles, at least that's what she thinks. In reality, Travis sent her to the Congo for a diamond, because he needs a new cash machine.

A bloody eyeball. As Charles is eating his candy bar, something hits him on the back of the head. Thinking Jeffery is throwing things at him, he yells, "now you're throwing things at me!", and when he picks the object up he sees that it's a bloody eyeball. Then he hears a horrifying growl and screams.
Hershey Bar. This can clearly be seen when he is sitting on the steps.
As the movie begins, we see Charles Travis and another man in Africa. The man tells Charles that he found something fantastic. Charles goes with the man and they both jump into a pool of water, only to come up in front of a temple in a lost city. Jeffery Weems. Jeffery Weems, played by Taylor Nichols, and Charles Travis, played by Bruce Campbell, are amazed at what they see. Charles tells Jeffery that when they get back home he is going to have a team sent to explore the lost city.
Frank Marshall. Frank Marshall directed this 1995 movie. The movie was based on Michael Crichton's novel of the same name.
Diamond. She asks Peter to throw away the diamond that made the laser pack work. Peter asks her if she is sure, and she says yes. Monroe says, 'Ouch'.
Hot Air Balloon. Karen tells Monroe to get the yellow trunk with the red strip on it, and in it is a hot air balloon.
KR81452. This can be heard during the two times she contacted Travis.
Amy. When Monroe and Peter are fending off the Gorilla guards, one of the guards grabs Peter when he's loading his gun. He is immediately surrounded by Gorillas, and Monroe yells to Karen, 'What the hell are you doing'? All of a sudden, Amy appears and gives a giant roar. She then jumps down and heads over to Peter. She barks at the Gorilla guards, and they are dumbfounded. She then tells Peter to hug her. Monroe says, 'that's maternal instinct', and yells again to Karen. Karen says they are getting out of here.
2. Karen yells to Monroe, 'buy me two minutes'. She then proceeds to put the laser together.
