Snare Drum and Susie-Q. When you are first introduced to them, Pepper calls the boy Snare Drum, played by Jonathan Benya, and the girl Susie-Q, played by Jessica Raskin. They live with their Great-Grandmother, Ramona Rickets, and help Dupree, a family friend, steal cars and hubcaps to sell.

Mona. In court, the judge refers to her as Mona Malnorowsky. She is a member of the Cry-Baby gang. Everyone calls her Hatchet-Face, except her parents. She isn't exactly attractive, but she says "There's nothin' the matter with my face, I got character!"
He is accused of being the ring leader in a gang war.. Cry-Baby is sentenced to the Maryland Training School for Boys until his 21st birthday, because the judge thinks that Cry-Baby led the fight at Turkey Point. The fight was really started by Baldwin, who was mad that Allison went out with Cry-Baby.
Mrs. Vernon Williams. Mrs. Vernon Williams is Allison's grandmother, played by Polly Bergen. At first, she is opposed to the gang of juvenile delinquents, but when she finds out that they are good people, she encourages Allison to join them.
