 Devil's Rejects, The
Texas. The film takes place in the made up town of Ruggsville, Texas. Rob chose to use Texas because of its vast open space. The isolation was a factor, because the family had to have solitude to commit their crimes and go undetected. The population was sparse and the killers would not be near neighbors who might notice strange happenings or hear screams.

Banjo and Sullivan. Baby and Otis needed a place to hide out and wait for Spaulding. They could not get a room for fear that the clerk would know them from the news coverage, so their only other choice was to take over someone's room. The Banjo and Sullivan group was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Cutter. Spaulding was a serial killer who dressed as a clown and owned a gas station/murder ride. Most of the oddities he used in his shop were made from some of his and his family's victims. He used many aliases, but he mentioned his real name when he was talking to Charlie on the phone. Spaulding was a character from the Marx Brothers film, "Animal Crackers". The Firefly family (also an alias), used many names from the Marx Brothers films. Growing up, Rob was a Marx Brothers fan.
Khaki Palms Motel. I've stayed in worse...Spaulding told Baby to meet him there. When Otis and Baby pulled into the parking lot, you could see the motel sign. They used the motel as a hideout until they killed the Banjo and Sullivan crew.
Cheap Trick. Jimmy seemed a little slow at times and this was what got him killed. He did not do as Otis said, so Otis shot him in the head.
You could see the T-shirt clear as day as he was walking with Roy on the way to the ice machine. The actor/comedian, Brian Posehn played the role of Jimmy and is a huge Rob Zombie fan. That was Brian's own Cheap Trick T-shirt he wore in the film. Cheap Trick is alright, a little tame for me though.
The Morris Green Show. You only saw the show briefly. They were talking about killers and madmen on the show, trying to explain why people murder and kill. The Banjo and Sullivan crew were watching it at the same time Baby was out near the ice machine setting Roy up to be accosted by Otis. On the bonus DVD you got to see more of "The Morris Green Show " segment. It was cut down because the scene was too long.
Tutti Frutti. This was a cute scene. Otis argued with Baby about stopping for ice cream as they were on the way to Charlie's. Baby won. I think Rob was trying to show that the Firefly family could be normal. Brothers and sisters often argue and the dad usually sides with the baby girl.
John Wydell. George Wydell was the Sheriff mother Firefly killed in " House of 1000 Corpses ". John Quincy Wydell was his brother who swore vengence against the Firefly family. We saw his hatred for the family when he killed Mother Firefly.
Tiny. We didn't see Tiny much in this. He played a small role in both films as the freak brother in the Firefly family. He broke Wydell's neck after Wydell killed Charlie. Perhaps Tiny committed suicide? He walked back into the burning house. The part of Tiny was played by real life giant Matthew McGrory, who unfortunately died before production was done. The movie was dedicated to him.
Wayne Toth. There were great effects - the aftermath of the semi hitting the girl, wow! The throat cutting scene of the hooker at Charlie's looked so real. When Wydell hammered those nails into Otis's hand - ouch! I really liked the shootout scene at the end when all those squibs were exploding on Baby, Otis and Spaulding's chest, wow! Wayne has done numerous films,"John Carpenter's Vampires", " Army of Darkness", " Pulp Fiction " and he did the creature effects for " Alien 3 ". Rob was such a fan of Wayne's that he asked him to head the special effects department on both "House of 1000 Corpses " and "The Devils Rejects " .

furniture made out of human limbs. The police find body parts in the refrigerator, and furniture made out of human limbs. They also find many corpses and discover the Firefly family has killed a lot of people.

Baby. Baby sings this to the five members of Banjo and Sullivan, a traveling country band. This leads Otis to question why Roy isn't "thinking bad thoughts" about his sister.
many people. All the members of the band are all killed. Four police officers are killed in the beginning during the shootout. Rufus is shot to death by police in the shootout. The woman in the opening credits is stabbed by Otis. Mother Firefly is stabbed to death by Sheriff Wydell. Casey's throat is slit by Rondo. Candy is shot in the head by Billy Ray Snapper. Charlie Altamont is hacked to death by Sheriff Wydell. Sheriff Wydell gets his neck snapped by Tiny. Tiny commits suicide by walking into a flaming house. Baby, Otis, and Captain Spaulding are shot to death by police.

in about ten miles. This is the scene that shows they are a real family. It is also the scene that makes me feel bad for them (that sounds horrible!) The three are on the road and Baby lets Otis know she wants to stop for ice cream. After having a sibling fight, the father talks Otis into stopping and they get some tutti fruiti!
a house of ill repute. The surviving Fireflys gather at a house owned by Captain Spaulding's brother (by adoption), Charlie Altamont. They seem to have fun as Otis goes to fool around with one of the girls and Baby takes a bubble bath.
the Firefly home. Sheriff Wydell and two bounty hunters finally track the family down. He brings them back to their home where he torches them.

Mother Firefly is dead. Baby begins to cry when she finds out her mother is dead. You can tell they have a close relationship even from the start of the movie.

Drive towards the police, shooting their guns. The three are badly injured and beaten. However, they know there is no way they can run anymore. Otis gives Baby and Captain Spaulding guns and the three begin to speed toward the police. They shoot their guns, but there are many police officers and the police kill Baby, Otis, and Captain Spaulding.
"Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The song is "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. This plays as they drive, very cut up, shooting their guns at the police. However, they know they have reached the end.
