'A sitting duck'. The terrorist shoots the SWAT team leader in the head after calling him a sitting duck.
Ejection seat. McClane thinks he is going to be trapped because one of the mercenaires put an axe over the handle, preventing McClane from escaping. Before the grenades explode, McClane pulls the ejection lever, allowing him to escape.
Thompson. Thompson, though uncomfortable, recalibrates the sea level minus 200 feet, meaning the level is at 800 feet insted of 1000. He kind of hesitates to do it because he doesn't want to be part of a mass murder. After the Windsor 114 crash, Thompson looks at Col. Stuart with a stunned look on his (Thompson's) face.
Trudeau. Trudeau, played by Fred Dalton Thompson, is first seen in the control tower, complaining about the weather. He instructs another operator to inform the plane drivers overhead about the weather front moving in.
Oswald Cochrane. Sgt. Cochrane and Miller are seen in a restricted area of the airport, installing the taping system from the luggage area to the tower systems. McClane asks for ID and they fake cooperation and start a shootout, resulting in McClane killing Cochrane by pushing him into the luggage press and electrocuting Cochrane.
Garber. Garber is, like all the other mercenaries, first seen leaving a hotel close to Dulles International Airport. He is the one who blocks the news camera with the comment that he doesn't want any pictures and who insults Sam Coleman.
Carmine Lorenzo. Carmine Lorenzo is a hot-headed police captain who has been shown to be irresponsible with his job. He dismisses McClane's stories as made-up to get attention. Captain Lorenzo is also the first person to mention McClane's encounter at the Nakatomi Plaza.
Sam Coleman. Sam Coleman looks at Colonel Stuart and recognizes him. She asks for a few words and he replies with a rude comment. Then the colonel's first-in-command blocks the camera lens with his hand. Neither Harvey nor Gale make an appearance, but Richard Thornburg does.
Colonel Stuart. Colonel Stuart is first seen practicing his martial arts skills in his hotel room. A reporter first mentions his name at Dulles International Airport.
Vito Lorenzo. As the car is getting ready to be towed away, McClane tries to convince Vito not to tow the car, but with no luck, even when McClane says it's his mother-in-law's car. Vito still gives McClane the ticket and has the car towed away. Vito's name is mentioned towards the end.
Marvin. Lieutenant John McClane goes into the what looks like a pipe room. McClane hears music coming from somewhere and follows the music. He sees a record player going and lifts up the linear tracking. Then Marvin puts his hand on McClane's shoulder, causing McClane to turn around and point his pistol at Marvin. That's when Marvin introduces himself and tells McClane that he's the janitor.
