Puts snow in his mouth. Vassili learns his shooting from his grandfather and becomes the best sniper in the history of the Red Army, possibly the world.
Hope. Nazi and German propoganda was spread heavily through Russia, the Russian people believed they could not win, the Germans promised them food and shelter, but they were really met with a barrel of a gun.

Chemical factory. The poor Russian boy cleans the snipers shoes in exchange for chocolate, which was on rations and could not be gotten in the war ravaged city of Stalingrad. He later tells Vassili this information.

To not damage the 'fur'. 'That's where I learnt to shoot, from hunting wolves with my grandfather, I shot them in the eye so we could sell the fur.'

He was in Germany. He is tortured for being in Germany when the Nazi's turn on Stalin. He explains that it was Comrade Stalin that sent him there. For blaming their leader, the NKVD knock all his teeth out, leaving him with a set of metal teeth. 'There was no sickle, but there was a hammer.'
Hangs Sacha. 'I'm sorry for what I'm gonna have to do, but you did break our promise.' After catching the young boy trying to get back to Vassili and tell him the Major's plan, Koenig hangs the boy in the old train station to draw out Vassili.

It belongs to his son. The killing of his son by Russian soldiers explains his hatred for Vassili, this is why he got involved in the hunt for the ghost assassin.
Urals. He was a poor shepherd boy who knew how to shoot well.
Tania. He thought she was so beautiful, he was scared to talk to her. Towards the end of the movie, he tells her that he saw her and says that she had been reading a book.
1942. The latter-half of the year.
He had gone over to the Germans.. The Major killed Sacha because Sacha had told the Soviets things that he had been told not to talk about.
Danilov. The other men had given suggestions like making examples of the bad men or hurting their families, but Danilov said that the soldiers really needed examples to follow.

Koenig. The Major was a nobleman from Bavaria playing cat and mouse with a shepherd from the Urals. And the shepherd won.
Department store. She was scared when the planes started flying overhead bombing the department store, got up to run and was shot by the sniper who was hiding inside.
Mother Filipov. Danilov raised his head so that Vassili could find out where the Major was hiding. Vassili killed the Major near the railroad. Ludmilla died in the department store when she got scared and was shot by a sniper.
a wolf. Vassili was too scared, and did not pull the trigger. The wolf then started to attack the horse Vassili and his grandfather had tied up to lure the wolf from hiding.
Joseph Fiennes. Fiennes was also the main character in 'Shakespeare in Love'.
t. It was a military convoy, that's why the civilians had to get off of the train.
September 20th, 1942. The battle started on August 21, 1942 when the German Sixth Army launched its drive towards the Volga River (the river that Stalingrad was located on). By November, the Germans had isolated the Russian forces into four pockets of Stalingrad, but still the Russians fought on.
An explosion.. If he waited for an explosion then the other Germans would not hear the gunshots.
4. One dies under the crashed plane. Another dies in the building being bombed by planes. A third dies after being captured, put in a German uniform, and shot by the fourth to die, who is shot while jumping from building to building.
No. Different rifles were used according to the sniper's preferences. Vassili's rifle had three crosshairs on the sides and bottem, but not on the top.
The major doesn't relocate after each shot.. Major Konig was played by Ed Harris.
The tractor factory. The Chemical factory was where Major Konig waited for Vassili. The tractor factory is usually how Vassili gets around. This factory is seen when Vassili is trapped by the Major and all the glass falls down around him.
t. His rifle can still be seen today at the Stalingrad History Museum. He had somewhere around 400 kills by the end of the war, 149 of which were at the Battle of Stalingrad.

His son had died.. The movie says that his son was a lieutenant who died during the first days of the battle.
