Method Man. Diego is the worker at the hotel, and friend of Mark's. He's using the hotel to run his own lucrative buisness of videotaping people who are staying in the hotel.
4. The seeing-eye dog, 2 of Sam's dobermans, and Sam's other dog all appear in the movie. Sam also has a third doberman, but we don't see it. All of the canines have odd habits involving a certain part of their body. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about! Incidentally, the pet cemetery in Sam's backyard may also contain a great number of dogs, but we never find out.
Karl. Karl Benson is an annoying guy who works in Handi-World and is in the middle of a pyramid scheme. He knows Large, but they have clearly never been friends.
Gideon. According to imdb.com, Ian Holm's character is named Gideon Largeman. It is never said in the movie. Dr. Gideon Largeman is Andrew's father and is very suppressive of his son.
Silent Velcro. Jesse is the genius creator of a type of velcro which doesn't make a ripping noise. The government bought it from him for a huge amount of money. He has a mansion, a pool, a sauna, and a golf cart he drives around inside the house.
Tim. Tim works at Medieval Times, which is a restaurant with a medieval theme. Tim speaks Klingon and his girlfriend is Mark's mom, which does not make Mark happy.
A law office.. Sam has to wear a helmet to work, because of insurance problems, since she is epileptic and once hit her head after having a seizure.
Ninja. She tells him this as he gives her a ride home on his motorcycle. However, she doesn't have a boyfriend. This is just one of the many lies she tells throughout the movie.
The Shins. She laughs at him as he struggles with the German Shepherd, which likes him a little too much. Her advice to him is to kick the dog where it counts. After the dog leaves with its owner, she recognizes him as "the retarded quarterback" and gushes over his performance. He asks her what music she's listening to, and she hands him her headphones...and so, romance blossoms.
