She is ripped apart by a truck.
John Ryder. "The Hitcher" John Ryder was played by the master himself Rutger Hauer, who also appeared in the fantastic "Bladerunner" along with my hero, Harrison Ford.
"I want to die". Jim says he will do anything to stop Ryder from killing him. Ryder replies by saying "say four words" whilst toying a knife around Jim's mouth.
"I don't think I can say that". Jim stutters the reply of "I don't think I can say that" so Ryder begins to tap Jim's chin continuing to taunt him with "come on, say it!"
4. As Jim is driving along a family overtake him and he notices Ryder in the back seat with the children. There is a mother, father, a little girl and a little boy in the car. You only see the young boy for a split second pointing a toy gun at Jim through the rear window.
Her family's spaceship. Nash tells Jim that her family is from Mars because he isn't paying any attention to what she is saying about herself.
1 month. Jim states he knows the drive-away company's telephone number so well because he called them so many times and was on their waiting list for a month.
Disneyland. Ryder has been arrested at this point as the police actually witnessed him murder Nash by tying her between the cab and trailer of a heavy goods truck and ripping her in half. (Although we don't actually see it!)
Holds out his hand. When Jim comes face to face with Ryder after he is arrested, Jim leans across the table and lets Ryder take hold of his hand he then spits in his face.
3. Jim shoots Ryder after running him down with the car, because as in most movies the the bad guy always rises after the first hit!

Spring break. Jim and Grace are headed to Lake Havasu, Arizona to hang out and drink with some of Grace's friends. They don't even make it six blocks from the college before they have to stop for a quick bathroom break for Grace.
John Ryder. The hitcher is played by English actor Sean Bean. We find out later that John Ryder is the identity of another driver who has been missing, presumably as a result of the hitcher.

A large stuffed animal frog. Jim and Grace try to warn the parents about John, but they aren't successful. They end up crashing their own vehicle when they are avoiding a head-on collision with a truck.

He draws a bloody smiley face on the interview room window.. It is fortunate for Jim and Grace that there is at least one police officer who realizes that they can't be responsible for the killings in the police station. The rest of the officers would probably be very gung-ho in taking Jim and Grace down, especially since there already are some dead police officers.

Black. John ends up shooting up the police cars, causing them to crash and he even manages to shoot the helicopter pilot. He passes Jim and Grace and drives off into the distance. Jim and Grace are forced to pull over to the side of the road and ditch their vehicle because their tires have been shot out by police.

A Chocolate Hostess Cupcake. There is a chocolate Hostess cupcake next to the night stand. At the gas station, she had stated that she preferred a chocolate Ding Dong over a Twinkie. She wrongfully assumes it is Jim lying next to her.

I want to die.. He is unsuccessful in getting Jim to say it, early on in the movie. This time John says it, and he really seems to mean it.
He breaks his thumb to pull his hand through one of the cuffs.. After getting his hand through the cuff, John slices the guard's throat, steals his gun and shoots the guard riding next to the driver. The driver freaks out and causes the van to crash.
Grace shoots him in the head.. As Grace stands over John with a shotgun, he asks Grace "Feels good, doesn't it?" Grace's response is "I don't feel a thing." She shoots him.
I hope you enjoyed this quiz. "The Hitcher" might not be a terrific movie (according to the critics) but it is a fun scary movie with at least a few scenes that will make you jump! Be very selective if you are ever picking up a hitchhiker!
