Interview with the Vampire
Santiago. The Theatre Des Vampires.
Louis . Talking to the interviewer, or Daniel Malloy.
Blue. When Louis and Claudia were in the Mediterranean, Louis wanted the water to be blue but it was black. "Nighttime waters", he called them.
Doll. He always gives her dolls, not realizing that she is a grown woman trapped in the body of a child.
Buffoon. Louis searched the world over for another vampire, and when he finally stopped looking, a vampire found him.
Poodles. The old woman gets scared when she sees him drinking her dogs' blood, so Lestat has to break her neck.
"Where are we going?". Lestat's reply is "Nowhere."
"Good night, sweet prince.". Claudia cuts his throat and she and Louis throw him in the swamp. He survives by drinking the blood of snakes and alligators.
Green. Poor Madeline is only a vampire for one night before the vampires at the theatre put her and Claudia into the sunlight.
Crawfish. He kills Yvette after she tells him the slaves are suspicious of him and Lestat. He then frees the slaves and burns down the mansion.
Paris. The Theatre of Vampires is where they meet Santiago and Armand, and where Claudia and Madeline meet their demise.
1791. Louis tells the interviewer this fact in the very beginning of his story, he also claims that he was 24 at the time. Louis is played by Brad Pitt.
Malloy. Although it is never spoken, the credits explain that Christian Slater played the part of Malloy, the Interviewer.
Yvette. Louis calls her Yvette several times when the two speak. Yvette was played by Thandie Newton.
Theatre Des Vampires . We see this on Armand's business card when he gives it to Louis. Armand is played by Antonio Banderas.
Dennis. It is never mentioned during the movie, but explains so in the credits and the book by Anne Rice.
30 . Louis explains that, "Thirty years had passed yet her body remained that of an eternal child. Her eyes alone gave the story of her age out from under her doll-like curls with a questioning that would one day need an answer."
Santiago. Santiago's name is mentioned several times after Louis and Claudia go to Paris. Santiago was played by Stephan Rea.
doll. This scene takes place after Claudia questions what she is, and ultimately gets very angry by it. Claudia is played by Kirsten Dunst.
Yellow and white. We only see the birds for a short time before she sets them free.
Never in the home. "Never in the home" was the major rule that she was given, and also that she broke on a regular basis. Prolonging the kill, and taking what she wanted from them were not so much rules, but made it into a game.
Santiago. This line is spoken during the "Theatre des Vampires" performance. The complete line is as follows, "Do you know what it means to be loved by death? To become our bride?"
A Whore. During this scene, Lestat frightens the whore terribly, in hopes that Louis will want to spare her suffering and take her life. Lestat offers to make her "one of them" but Louis demands not to do so. Of course, Louis does not kill her, and Lestat does so after battling with Louis about what to do with the girl.
2-3. "Lestat killed two, sometimes three a night. A fresh young girl, that was his favorite for the first of the evening. For seconds, he preferred a gilded, beautiful youth."
drinking the blood of the dead. In an effort to kill Lestat de Lioncourt, Claudia tricks him into drinking blood from people that she has procured for him offstage. He stops drinking from one and says, "You...you let me drink dead blood?" As he staggers, Claudia cuts his throat.
Louis. With Yvette unconscious in his arms, Louis faces the crowd that has gathered to confront him at his front door. He hands Yvette to someone, saying that the place is cursed. Then he takes a torch from someone in the crowd and strides through the mansion, setting fire to things.
Read her thoughts. Soon after this event, Louis kills both of the poodles. Louis then attacks Lestat in a rage, to no avail.
Walking near a harbour at night. Lestat attacks Louis, biting Louis' neck as he levitates and lifts Louis and himself into the air. Beyond them you can see ships on the water.
a theater. Claudia and Louis attend a stage play, performed by the vampires that inhabit the theater. On stage the vampire Armand bites and kills someone; a murder presented as just part of the play.
Her hair grows back within minutes.. When Claudia transforms to vampire, her hair changes from straight to curly. When she attends the theater in Paris, she wears her hair in a style that obscures the curls. On another occasion she covers it with a bonnet.
At the end of the movie, the man who interviewed Louis is driving in his car while listening to a recording of the interview. Which vampire surprises the interviewer by landing in his car through its open top? | Interview with the Vampire

Lestat. Lestat subdues the interviewer, Daniel Malloy, and takes control of the car. As he drives, the recording of the interview continues playing. Lestat then complains that Louis is still whining and stops the tape, selecting music from the radio.
