Kelly's Heroes
Clint Eastwood. Eastwood got a good jump on his western cowboy persona way back in 1956, as Rowdy Yates in 'Rawhide'.
Donald Sutherland. Sutherland played the pot-smoking Professor Dave Jennings, in the movie 'Animal House', for a salary of {$40,000.}
'Love Boat'. Gavin MacLeod was not known for any real comedic talent during his stint on 'Love Boat'. In 'Kelly's Heroes', he plays the perfect comedic foil, with a biting sarcasm, to Donald Sutherland's Odd Ball.
Odd Ball. Odd Ball had lots of great lines, and his hippy mannerisms were a little out of place for the WWII era. But it was easy to forgive this slight inconsistency because Sutherland pulled off his character so genuinely.
Big Joe. Telly Savales had a half pointer finger on his right hand. During filming, they were careful about camera angles to minimize showing it.
