Cretaceous. Brontosaurus, Pterodactyl, Parasaurolophus and Tyranosaurus were all dinosaurs who were around in the Cretaceous period, so the movie takes place in this period.

Cera. Candace Hutson was the only person from the original movie's cast to provide the voice for her character, Cera, in the following movies. Will Ryan (the original voice of Petrie) was replaced by Jeff Bennet. Gabriel Damon (the original voice of Littlefoot) had gone through puberty, and he was replaced by Scott McAfee in parts 2, 3 and 4 (his sister, Anndi, did the voice of Cera in parts 5 and up), Brandon La Croix did his voice in part 5, and in the rest of them, his voice was given by Thomas Dekker. Judith Barsi (the original voice of Ducky) had tragically gotten killed before the first movie was released, and her character's voice was given by Heather Hogan in parts 2 through 4, and in parts 5 and up, her voice was given by Aria Noelle Curzon.
tag. Littlefoot and Ducky are playing tag in the Great Valley.
Bron. Littlefoot finally finds his dad in this movie.
a dream. Littlefoot and his grandparents start to have strange dreams. They then go on a journey to find out what their "sleep stories" mean.

Chomper. The gang accidentally took the egg from the Mysterious Beyond. Chomper is a Tyrannosaurus, or Sharptooth. Everyone is scared of him at first, until they get to meet him.
the waterfall stops flowing. The waterfall stops flowing because a rock slide blocked it. The dinosaurs have to conserve the little water they still have. Littlefoot and his friends find some water in the Mysterious Beyond. There is also a fire in this movie.
