At the end of the movie, Lionel told Marisa that he had just turned in his resignation since he did not like the action taken against Marisa. Lionel informed Marisa there came a time in everyone's life where they had to make decisions for themselves. He reminded Marisa that they were there to serve guests but that did not make them their servants. He wished Marisa luck and told her he knew she would be a great hotel manager one day. Hoskins had parts in the films "Mrs. Henderson Presents", "Hook" and "Enemy at the Gates". In one scene, Caroline looked for a dress to wear at a function and asked for Marisa's advice with Rachel also present. Marisa found out that Stephanie filled out the application and became irate with her. Stephanie told her that she spoke to someone who would review the applications and that someone said that she would slip Marisa's application the top of the pile. Marisa decided that she wanted the manager's position after all and she and Stephanie celebrated with their other co-workers. Stephanie helped Marisa get ready for the function with Chris. Chris Eigeman. Eigeman, born in 1965 in Denver, Colorado, had the minor role of John Bextrum. Mr. Bextrum was Marisa's boss and he owned the hotel where she worked. At the beginning of the movie, Mr. Bextrum informed all the employees that someone had been promoted so there was a manager position open for people to apply. Marisa's friend asked if a maid could apply for the position and Mr. Bextrum said yes, so long as the person had worked at that hotel for three or more years. In the middle of the movie, Mr. Bextrum called Marisa into his office and told her what qualities they looked for in a prospective manager and he asked Marisa if she possessed those qualities. Ms. Ventura told him she did and he agreed and told her he was glad to see she applied for the manager position (Marisa's friend had actually filled out an application for her). However, Mr. Bextrum became upset when Caroline pointed out via security footage that Marisa took her coat one day to go for a walk with Chris Marshall. Marisa told her boss that she impersonated Caroline and Mr. Bextrum told Marisa she was fired. Eigeman had parts in the movies "The Treatment", "The Perfect You" and "Highball".
Natasha Richardson. Richardson, a native of London, England, portrayed Caroline Lane. Lane was interested in meeting senatorial candidate Chris Marshall, and asked the hotel to arrange a lunch meeting between them. Chris was delighted to have lunch with Caroline since they had just met the day before and had a pleasant time. However, Chris was shocked since he met the real Caroline (Marisa impersonated Caroline when she met Chris the day before) and did not know who she was. Carolina went to the same benefit where Chris escorted Marisa and she stopped Marisa as Marisa walked out. The very next day, Caroline asked the hotel owner if she could look at some security footage since she felt something was up with Marisa. In the footage, it showed Marisa wearing Caroline's coat as she left the hotel with Chris. Caroline confronted Marisa about impersonating her and she thought this would win Chris' affections but Chris was upset with Caroline. Tucci had roles in the films "Beethoven", "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Kiss of Death".
Priscilla Lopez. Lopez had the minor role of Veronica Ventura. Veronica was Marisa's mother and Ty's grandmother and she annoyed her daughter at times but they still had a lot of love for each other. Veronica accompanied Marisa to Ty's speech on Richard Nixon. After Marisa was fired for impersonating Caroline Lane, she went home and her mother was there. Veronica showed Marisa all the bills that came in the mail and told her she had responsibilities and that, if she wanted to survive, she would work as a cleaning lady for a friend named Miss Rodriguez. Marisa told her mother she did not want to since she could not get a promotion through Miss Rodriguez and she would apply to work at another hotel. Lopez had guest starring stints on the TV shows "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit", "Cosby" and "L.A. Law".
Tyler Posey. Posey, born in 1991 in Santa Monica, California, landed the part of Ty Ventura. Ty was Marisa's son and he realized that Marisa had to work hard as a maid in order to support them since she was a single mother. Ty was into politics and he had to give a speech on Richard Nixon for school. He fumbled midway through due to nervousness. Marisa saw the speech, and went backstage and hugged him. Ty was expecting to see his father one weekend but his father did not come so he went to the hotel where Marisa worked for that weekend. Marisa met Chris and she introduced him to Ty and Chris informed Ty that he always got nervous when he gave a speech. He told Ty that the best way for him to get over the nervous tension was to use a paperclip and take it apart when the nervousness hit. Ty also befriended Chris' dog, Rufus. Posey was in the films "Inside Out", "Collateral Damage" and "Men of Honor".

In the middle of the function, she decided to leave since she was nervous because Caroline Lane was also at that same function. Marisa eventually revealed to Chris that she was not the woman he thought she was and Marisa was told she no longer worked at the hotel. Marisa left and Chris chased her down the street. Marisa told him that if she informed him she was a maid, he would not have taken a second look at her. Marisa got a job at another hotel and was happy when Chris gave her another chance. We found out during the credits that Marisa eventually became a hotel manager. Lopez guest starred on the TV series "South Central", "Hotel Malibu" and "Second Chances".

Chris ran to be a U.S. Senator to represent the state of New York and he stayed for one weekend at the hotel where Marisa Ventura worked as a maid. On that same weekend, a socialite named Caroline Lane stayed at the same hotel. In one scene, Marisa cleaned Caroline's room and her friend, Stephanie, told her to try on one of Caroline's expensive outfits. When Chris went to the room, he saw Marisa but she introduced herself as Caroline. Chris and Marisa befriended each other and they were seen one day as they strolled through Central Park. Near the end of the film, Chris realized that Caroline was actually a maid named Marisa and he stopped seeing her. However, Chris gave a speech and Ty, Marisa's son, attended the speech and asked him if he would give his mom another chance. Chris went to see Marisa and they reintroduced themselves to each other and hugged. Fiennes starred in the movies "The Reader", "Red Dragon" and "The English Patient".
