Memory Lane. This red scrapbook is filled with newspaper clippings of Annie's personal stuff, presumably all the people she's had a hand in killing.

Lauren Bacall. Lauren Bacall played Marcia, the worried publishing agent, in a cameo role.
Corrasable Bond. Paul ticks off Annie again, by saying he needs White Long Grain Mimeo, because it doesn't smudge!
bobby pin. Paul found the bobby pin on the hardwood floor, and bent it and used it to pick the lock!
South. That's how Annie knew that Paul was out of his room, because her penguin always faces "due south". Paul knocked it off the table in Annie's living room, but caught it before it broke. Unfortunatly he put it back facing the wrong way.
Novril. The red capsules are called Novril. Paul tried to drug Annie with these, but she spilled the wine!
