NOES 4
Renny Harlin. Renny Harlin is from Finland. He also directed many action movies such as "Die Hard 2", "Cutthroat Island" and "Cliffhanger". He was romantically involved with Laura Dern and Geena Davis at some point in his life. At first, the people of New Line Cinema regretted their choice because they thought Renny Harlin would ruin the series. They know now that they were wrong, because he did a great job and they were very happy with the finished result. "The Dream Master" grossed 5 times the production cost.
No shoes, no shirt, no service. The Crave Inn stands for Craven, as in Wes Craven. It is a tribute to the creator of Freddy Krueger.
"Mind over matter" is Sheila's motto.
"If the food don't kill ya, the service will" is said by Freddy to Alice when they are both sitting in the Crave Inn counter, after she just saw an older version of herself.
"No shoes, no shirt, no service" is written on a piece of paper stuck to the side of the cash register. We can see it when Alice cashes out Sheila at the Crave Inn, right before Rick and Kristen storm in to announce that Joey and Kincaid died the night before.
Dan's parent. Dennis Johnson, played by Nicholas Mele, is the alcoholic father of Alice and Rick. He is also in "The Dream Child". Elaine Parker, played by Brooke Bundy, is the mother of Kristen in both "Dream Warriors" and "The Dream Master". Jacquelyn Masche played the role of Joey's mom, who discovers her son, dead in his waterbed. Dan's parents do not appear in "The Dream Master" but they do in "The Dream Child".
Blue Chevrolet. Kristen Parker owns a grey Volkswagen Cabrio, it can be seen many times in the movie. Elaine Parker owns a beige Mercedes, it can be seen when she stops in front of Freddy's house to honk at Kristen, ordering her to "get away from that house, Andele!" Mr. Johnson owns a white Volvo, it can be seen when he comes home drunk after Rick's kung fu garage performance and when Alice runs away with it at the hospital.
In The Flesh. We can hear the song "In The Flesh" on the juke box at the Crave Inn at night, when Dan goes to see Alice and buys a pack of gum. The song "Rip Her To Shreds" is on the original soundtrack but is not in the movie.
Trigonometry. When Debbie Stevens arrives at school, she asks her friends if any of them had Trig' this semester, and then explains her conflict... Homework or "Dynasty". She then sees salvation with the arrival of Sheila Kopecky. After a short conversation, Debbie asks her: "Speaking of books, isn't Trig' your favorite?"
The Bermuda Triangle. When Dan is waiting for Alice to go to Debbie's place, he leans on his truck and says to himself: "All the towns in America, I had to move to the Bermuda Triangle!" He does not say why.
Green. At gym class, Rick Johnson and Dan Jordan wear green sweat suits. Dan's varsity coat is also green with the big "S" on it. This piece of costume is actually the actor's own high school jacket.
Kristen Clayton. The little girl in the opening scene of "The Dream Master", drawing Freddy's house on the ground with chalk, is the same little girl that Kristen encounters riding the tricycle in "Dream Warriors". The young actress is in the two movies and she also appears in an episode of "Freddy's Nightmares", the TV series.
