Random Hearts
Sydney Pollack. Sydney Pollack is also a fine actor. He appeared as Carl Broman in "Random Hearts" and has acted in such notable movies as "Tootsie" (1982), and "Eyes Wide Shut" (1999). Pollack is also a well-known producer. He produced the Harrison Ford movies "Presumed Innocent" (1990) and "Sabrina" (1995).
jogging. The first thing we see in the movie is Dutch jogging up to his house. Doesn't Harrison still look wonderful (especially considering he was born on July 13, 1942)?
Sachs. Dutch drives down to Sachs Fifth Avenue and talks to Peyton's co-workers and boss. He finds out that Peyton had not been sent to Miami by Sachs.
Miami. Her message to Dutch tells him where she is really going, but not the real reason for her trip!
Mrs. Chandler. And Dutch never had a clue she was having an affair.
Kristin Scott Thomas. English actress Kristin Scott Thomas was born on May 24, 1960 in Redruth, Cornwall, England. She has appeared in such notable movies as "Four Weddings and a Funeral" (1994), "The Horse Whisperer" (1998), and "Gosford Park" (2001). She was voted as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World by "People" magazine in 1997.
New York. He was a lawyer, and he told her he had to fly to New York on business.
New Hampshire. She was running for re-election from New Hamphshire when the plane carrying 'Mr. and Mrs. Chandler' crashed.
William. The movie "Random Hearts" is loosely (and I mean loosely) based on the fine novel by Warren Adler. If you enjoyed the movie, you might like to read the book and compare the differences.

Internal Affairs. Harrison Ford plays Sgt. Dutch Van Den Brock. When we first see him he is in court, and we later see him investigating the sale of a stolen police gun.
Kristin Scott Thomas. Kay is running for Congress in Washington. I'm not too sure about Kristin Scott Thomas for this role - she seems too cool and her US accent is not too hot.
Bill. We find this out when Dutch is in court. He says his name is Sgt. Bill Van Den Brock. He is called Dutch as it's easier to say than his surname.
Susannah Thompson. Peyton only appears at the very beginning of the movie, as she is killed in a plane crash. The whole plot revolves around her and Cullen Chandler though. Susannah Thompson plays the Borg Queen in the TV series "Voyager". Bonnie Hunt plays Wendy in "Random Hearts", Bonnie Bodelia plays Harrison Ford's wife in "Presumed Innocent".
New York. Cullen was thought to have flown to New York to see a client. He took the flight to Miami with Peyton and they died together in the air crash. It is only when Kay is contacted by airline staff that she realises her husband is dead.
15. Jessica is 15 and is at school in New Hampshire. Kay is more concerned about Jessica finding out about her father's affair than almost anything else.

Years. Kay says this when she speaks at the Memorial for the victims of the air crash. Cullen was played by Peter Coyote.
Miami. Cullen and Peyton had gone there to continue their illicit affair.
A lawyer. He practiced in New Hampshire. Peyton worked for Saks Fifth Avenue. We never find out how they met.
Tides. Dutch has an advertising flyer from the hotel which he shows to Kay. He flies to Miami to investigate further and talk to people who knew his wife. Kay arrives later.
Yes. You can see the earring in his left ear throughout the movie. In 2002 the UK press had been saying that he had only just got his ear pierced because he was trying to show how youthful he was whilst he had a young girlfriend like Calista Flockhart. As if!
February. The dates were February 19 and May 14. She was on fashion catalogue shoots. February was swimsuits and May was fall fashion.
In Kay's car. After their return from Miami, Kay offers Dutch a lift home. Once in her car they fight, struggle and eventually kiss.
A Bowling Alley. The bowling alley was called Parkway Lanes.
Alcee. Alcee is played by Charles S. Dutton.
Chesapeake Bay. It's from Dutch - he wants to see her at a secluded cabin.
Heineken. "Refreshes the parts other beers cannot reach".

Rhode Island. When Dutch goes to the address, he finds Kay there clearing up. Cullen had previously used the apartment for an illicit affair with Kay's good friend Wendy.
False. Kay doesn't get shot, but Dutch does. He is shot in the thigh, but is saved from further injury by Alcee. It is the shooting that leads the press to find out about Peyton and Cullen's affair. This in turn leads to Kay not being elected to congress.
Kay says to the press that she and Dutch are "more than friends, we are [...]". What word is missing? | Movie "Random Hearts"

Survivors. Kay and Dutch don't end up together at the end of the film, but we are left with the hope that they will.
