|
Metro south. After hearing about his transfer location, Sergeant Reed mentioned that Metro south was a nice precinct. Reed quickly broke the pleasantries, however, by saying that in their precinct they get work done. He told Murphy to get to his locker and suit up. When he got to his locker, the other officers called the precinct "Hell". A few minutes later, Sergeant Reed arrived to take a name tag reading Frederickson off of a locker. The implication was that the officer was killed. Reed said that the funeral would be tomorrow and that donations to the family would be accepted.
Murphy walked out of the locker room in full gear, waiting to meet his new partner. After seeing a tough police officer subdue a crook, Murphy was partnered with that person. What was the officer's name? | "Robocop": Part I

At the Omni Consumer Products, or OCP headquarters, Dick Jones was testing a prototype robotic police officer called the ED-209. During its demonstration, however, something went horribly wrong, forcing the company CEO to give all of his funding to Bob Morton's "Robocop" project. What went wrong with the ED-209 demonstration? | "Robocop": Part I
|
It malfunctioned and shot an unarmed employee.. To demonstrate the machine, an executive named Mr. Kinney was told to hold a weapon in a threatening manner. He pointed the weapon at the machine and it told him to drop his weapon, and he had twenty seconds to comply. Mr. Kinney dropped the weapon. After dropping the pistol, the machine should have stopped its warnings for compliance. It continued to warn Mr. Kinney until it finally announced that it was authorized to use violent force. The machine unloaded dozens of high caliber rounds into Mr. Kinney, killing him in a most brutal fashion. After it killed him, it shut itself off. Disappointed by Dick Jones' failed machine, Bob Morton told the CEO about his "Robocop" project. The CEO was interested and wanted a presentation in twenty minutes.
The two police officers, Anne Lewis and Alex Murphy, were parked in front of a coffee shop. Anne was getting coffee while Murphy was doing some spinning tricks with his gun. |
role models . Murphy learned the trick exclusively for his son, making him his son's role model. After his warm conversation with Officer Lewis, she and Murphy answered a dispatch to follow the film's antagonist, Clarence Boddicker. The mood quickly shifted from a bright and cheery one to dark and despondent one.
Despite having his memory erased, Robocop still had some memories of his life as Murphy. Nobody even knew that Robocop was Murphy until Officer Anne Lewis saw him do something familiar in the shooting range. What action helped Lewis learn that the Robocop was in fact Officer Murphy? | "Robocop": Part I
|
He did the "T.J. Lazer" gun spinning trick.. Anne Lewis saw Robocop's shooting and had a quick association to Murphy when he did the spinning gun trick. Later, Robocop had a dream and started to leave. Lewis caught up to him in the hallway and told him that he was Murphy.
Bob Morton, the creator of the Robocop, was appointed vice president of OCP. One mistake he made was that he angered Dick Jones, his rival who created the failed ED-209. As revenge, Jones hired Clarence Boddicker to take care of Bob Morton. How did Bob Morton get killed? | "Robocop": Part I
|
He was blown up in an explosion.. Bob Morton was in the washroom of the OCP building when he infuriated Dick Jones by calling him a bad name. Dick Jones told him that he crossed the line and that he'd pay for it. Bob did not believe him. Later that evening, Bob Morton took two models over to his house for a party. There was alcohol and illegal narcotics, which they used and abused. During their party, there was a knock on the door. Bob thought it was the champagne, but it turned out to be Clarence. Clarence told the women to leave before he shot Morton twice in each leg. Bob was scared, so he offered Clarence twice what Dick Jones was paying. Clarence pulled the pin on an explosive device and left Bob's home. Immediately before the device exploded, the recording of Dick Jones cleverly said that every game had a winner and a loser. Boom!
That is the end of part one. I hope you enjoyed it.
After Bob Morton was killed, the film cut to a gigantic drug lab. There, Clarence and another criminal were making some sort of a secretive deal. It was all going smoothly until Robocop arrived. Robocop killed most of the criminals and gathered intel as to who hired Clarence Boddicker. How did Robocop discover that Dick Jones and Omni Consumer Products were the criminals? | "Robocop": Part II
|
He interrogated Clarence.. After clearing out the warehouse, Robocop caught Clarence Boddicker. Clarence tried to resist, but Robocop beat him to get information. He threw Clarence through windows and beat him so he would get some information out of him. When he knew that Clarence was about to say something important and incriminating about his employer, Robocop turned on his recorder. After recording that OCP and Dick Jones hired him, the Murphy part of Robocop wanted to kill Clarence. Robocop stopped when his action violated a prime directive. Instead he arrested Clarence and took him to the police.
Robocop captured Clarence Boddicker and took him to the police station. Sergeant Reed asked Robocop what the charge was. Robocop replied: "He is a ___ killer". What kind of killer did Robocop call him? | "Robocop": Part II
|
cop. Immediately after Robocop said the charge, everyone turned to look at Clarence. As a response, Clarence spit on Sergeant Reed's report and said that he wanted his phone call. Despite killing dozens of police officers, including Murphy, Boddicker was released from prison very quickly, because of his connections to OCP and Dick Jones.
Robocop did not stay at the police station to finalize Clarence's arrest, because he had to go arrest Dick Jones for being involved in crime. When he arrived at Mr. Jones' office, something went wrong in his arrest attempt. He could not arrest Jones because it violated his fourth directive. What was the fourth directive? | "Robocop": Part II
|
Any attempt to arrest or harm a member of OCP resulted in shutdown. Dick Jones told Robocop that the fourth directive was his contribution to the project. He said that he needed it because he couldn't have one of his company's products arresting him. Despite the fact that he was shutting down, he continued his attempt to arrest Dick Jones. After Mr. Jones had enough, he decided to try and get rid of the Robocop.
To get rid of Robocop, Dick Jones sent his ED-209 to destroy him. Unable to fight it, Robocop resorted to running away. He successfully escaped the ED-209 because of a certain problem with it. What was the inexcusable problem with the ED-209? | "Robocop": Part II
|
The ED-209 could not walk down stairs.. The ED-209 was making Robocop look weak until the chase led to the stairwell. Robocop ran down and looked up to see that the ED-209 was having troubles. 209's legs were built too large, so as soon as it touched the first step, it tumbled down an entire flight of stairs. It fell onto its back and actually began to squeal like a pig. After Robocop escaped the machine, the police turned against Robocop. He was in big trouble until his partner, Anne, rescued him.
To get away from the hostile forces of the police and OCP, Anne and Murphy drove somewhere out of the way to hide. Where did Anne Lewis hide herself and Robocop? | "Robocop": Part II
|
The abandoned steel mill where Murphy was killed. Anne Lewis, apart from saving Robocop, also brought him some items per request. She brought his gun, baby food, and a power drill. She gathered everything she could from the police station and she commented on how the station was pretty much abandoned due to the impending police strike. Murphy used the power drill to remove his face shield. He showed Lewis how he looked and then gazed into a mirror to view his current appearance. He asked about what happened to his family. Officer Lewis replied that Murphy's family went away and moved on with their lives. Murphy seemed quite saddened at the comment.
With the police on strike, Clarence and his thugs were free to do as they pleased. As a compliment from Dick Jones, Clarence's entire gang received the 6000 SUX sports car and a weapon called the assault cannon. What made the weapon so special? | "Robocop": Part II
|
The bullets were explosive, capable of doing extreme damage. To show off the new gun that he received, Clarence fired at one of his henchman's 6000 SUX's. The automobile exploded in an instant, instantly captivating the criminals. Each of the men took turns firing the weapon, testing it out on such things as store fronts and fire hydrants.
With the unpredictability of Robocop's movements, Clarence was given an item to help him find Robocop. What was he given? | "Robocop": Part II
|
A tracker. Dick Jones gave Clarence the tracker because he wanted Clarence to kill Robocop. In normal circumstances he wouldn't have been needed but due to the fact that he told Robocop about Dick Jones, Clarence had to repay him. Boddicker agreed to do the task. He gathered his men and of course tracked Robocop to his hiding place at the old steel mill.
He was stabbed in the neck by Robocop's uplink claw.. After one of Clarence's henchman dropped a ton of metal on him, Robocop was in a bad position. Anne Lewis passed out after killing the henchman so Murphy was on his own. Clarence used a sharp metal rod to smash him. He hit him over and over until he stabbed into his armor, obviously hurting Robocop. In that moment, Clarence was close to him, so Robocop retracted his data claw and stabbed Clarence in the left jugular vein. Clarence was immediately subdued. He held his neck for a few seconds before falling into the water and ultimately dying.
After killing Clarence, Murphy drove back to OCP Headquarters. There he encountered the ED-209 again. With the help of Clarence's assault cannon, the ED-209 was swiftly destroyed. Robocop proceeded upstairs to arrest Dick Jones. Despite his fourth directive, how was Murphy able to take care of Jones? | "Robocop": Part II
|
Jones was fired by his boss, in front of Robocop.. Robocop barged into OCP's meeting room and accused Dick Jones of killing Bob Morton and attempting to kill him. The CEO of the company asked if he had any proof. Robocop extracted his bloodied data claw and plugged it into the television monitor. The video quoted Dick Jones saying: "I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake. Now it's time to erase that mistake." Overwhelmed by the evidence, Dick Jones went ballistic. He picked up the CEO and took him hostage, demanding a helicopter. Robocop couldn't shoot, but the CEO was smart. He told Jones that he was fired, instantly deleting Dick Jones' protection from Robocop. Robocop unloaded more than ten shots into Dick Jones, subsequently sending him out of the window. Before leaving, the CEO asked what his name was. Robocop responded: "Murphy".
That's the end of part two. I hope you enjoyed my quizzes on the first "Robocop" film.
