Big Lake, Texas. Jim Morrison was born on January 19, 1964 in Brownwood, Texas and moved around quite often due to his father's career in the military before finally settling in Big Lake. Even though the movie calls the school where Jim teaches and coaches at as Big Lake High School, in reality, it's call Reagan Co. High School. In some of the actual high school games, the team would score 30 runs but the producers of the movie did not want to include that fact and show the games as being close for dramatic effect. People credit the turn around in their success to facing Jim Morris in batting practice because he did not realize he was throwing the ball up to the plate at 90+ MPH.
Trevor Morgan. Trevor Morgan played the role of young Jimmy although he was uncredited for it. Other movies that Trevor Morgan has appeared in are "The Patriot", "Jurassic Park III", and "The Sixth Sense". Since Trevor is right handed he had to learn to throw the ball left handed to simulated Jim Morris.
