He turned his back on Sean. Stevo and Sandy were walking, when he came across Sean, who was begging for money. Stevo realized that Sean had become homeless after staying in jail for his dealings of acid. The situation was uncomfortable for Stevo, so instead of helping Sean, he turned his back on the ordeal. This bothered Stevo and led him farther into what he referred to as "the fall of 1985".
