Willem Dafoe. An wonderful actor who was also in "American Psycho" and has over 40 movies to his name.
Cliff Robertson. This honored actor has taken to only selecting a few roles in his older years. I think his role as the important Uncle Ben only added to his career.
J.K. Simmons. I thought he really brought J. Jonah to life, which is a real feat because that character is adored in the comicbook world. This guy also provides the voice for the yellow M&M in commercials for the candy and was on the TV show "Oz".

What is the name of the process used to fuse the images of CGI Spidey and the real-life backgrounds of NYC together? | Webhead Quiz
|
photogammetry. This technique is quite complicated. There were several problems with making the CGI, 3D Spidey images fit with essentially 2D photo stills. Because of this, they had to texture the 2D photo stills and make them 3D in the computer. This involved altering the fronts of the building a little as well-- the whole process is called "photogammetry."
Aunt May makes an ironic inside joke to Peter regarding another famous superhero. Which one? | Webhead Quiz
|
Superman. Quite funny, though overplayed in commercials and the like.
Manhattan. This is reflected in several shots. There is a great one of the Empire State Building. At the end, where Spidey is webslinging, the last shot was supposed to be of the Twin Towers with Spidey on top of them. Sam Raimi removed this and replaced it with the patriotic image of the flag waving.

Gwen Stacy. Gwen Stacy was Peter's first girlfriend. In the comics, Green Goblin throws her off the Brooklyn Bridge, and Spidey shoots out a web to save her-- but the web connects to the back of her neck and snaps it, tragically enough.
David Koepp. M. Night Shyamalan is the genius behind "Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable".
Sam Raimi. Sam Raimi is an amazing director with movies like "Quick and the Dead" and "The Gift" to his credit.
Norman. A.K.A. the Green Goblin, of course.
James Franco. James Franco is a great actor from the canceled TV show, "Freaks and Geeks". He is also in the movie "City by the Sea" with Robert DeNiro, out in the fall of 2002.
Kirsten Dunst . She did a great job, but personally I felt Alicia Witt ("Urban Legend") would have made a better Mary Jane. Kirsten Dunst is too pop culture for me to buy her, especially as a redhead, and I think Alicia Witt is a wonderful, underappreciated actress. She was considered briefly for this role.
