They weren't from the streets.. The 410 started saying that the MSA crew didn't belong because they weren't from the streets, and everyone else in the club agreed. Andie got up next to the DJ booth and made a convincing speech and challenged the 410. Andie said that they would go outside if they weren't going to allow them to compete inside.
trashed a dance room. The 410 trashed a dance room the night of the barbeque, so the next day at school everyone saw the damage. They were mad with the whole Chase and Andie situation (that they were entering the competition), so they retaliated. There was graffiti and furniture knocked over.
Andie went back to Tuck.. Andie and Tuck didn't have a relationship in the movie. You can see that Tuck had feelings for Andie throughout the film; I think that they were together for a while but recently broke up. Chase was beat up after someone told on him to Tuck about dancing with Andie. Chase and Andie almost kissed in a tree at the end of Missy's barbeque. Sophie began to see Moose differently after dancing with him at the barbeque.
Missy. Missy was originally a member of the 410, but she quit after she saw what happened at the Dragon between the two crews. She came to MSA to apologize to Andie and ended up joining their crew. Andie and Missy were best friends. Missy was the one with the Latin flavor who told it like it was.
She lied to them.. Andie was kicked out of the crew because she lied to them about auditioning for MSA and getting in. Then she had rehearsals with Director Collins after school, which was during the 410 rehearsals, which caused her to lie about where she was. Tuck decided she wasn't loyal enough to stay in the group.
Twitch. Twitch was not a member of the MSA crew - he was on "So You Think You Can Dance". Hair was the name of the tapper in the group, Smiles had a huge smile with bad teeth, and Cable was the audio/visual guy. Chase knew that all of these guys could dance, since he had been at the school longer and was a dancer as well.
Moose. Moose found her sitting at his table and sat down across from her. He then filled her in on the school. Moose became her first friend. He was the fun, lovable guy who no one at school knew. He and Andie helped each other out throughout the film.
MSA. Tyler got her an audition at MSA after Sarah, her guardian told Andie that she couldn't live with her anymore. MSA stood for Maryland School of the Arts, a performing arts school. If she hadn't gotten in, she would have had to go to Texas, because she had been acting up lately. MSA was suppose to help Andie get in line.
subway. In the opening scene, a guy walked onto the subway. Then all the crew members, except for the team leader, took off their disguises and started dancing. At the end of the scene, there was a clip of the wall which had their name on it, which was 410 (four one oh). This was their video prank to enter the competition.

Tights. Nora tells Tyler this at the end of the movie when the showcase is over. He says done and they kiss!

Tyler is in the showcase with Nora. After what happens with Tyler when he finds out that Nora just used him as a replacement, he feels bad. So he goes to the showcase and apologizes, but she doesn't accept it. She tells him that it is too late, meaning she has to do this her own way. When Tyler wishes her good luck, he starts to walk away, but Nora calls out his name. She says, "Do you remember the steps?" and Tyler replies "I couldn't forget them even if I tried." So after that Tyler is in the show.
Because she is using him as a replacement. In one scene, Tyler is shown dancing with Nora and a bunch of other people. When Mac, Tyler's friend sees this, he gets angry and then Mac and Tyler start arguing outside. When Tyler walks back inside he sees Nora and Andrew talking. Tyler walks up to them, and Nora explains that Tyler has only been chosen because Andrew is hurt and they need a replacement. After she tells Tyler that he gets mad and leaves.
Mario. Mario does indeed star in this movie. His character's name is Miles Darby. He loves to play the keyboard and he is very good at it. He loves to make people happy with his music and it is so inspirational.

He damages a performing arts school.. In the beginning of this film, Tyler and his two friends Skinny and Mac are at a party when a fight breaks out. When Tyler and his friends leave, they start walking and Mac and Tyler are throwing things at Skinny. When Tyler throws, what I believe is a beer bottle or a soda can, it hits a window and Skinny leads them into the school. They enter the theatre where they start messing with things. When the cops come, one of them grabs Mac, but Tyler attacks the cop and tells Mac and Skinny to run. Tyler is caught, and the next day he is in court where the judge sentences him to do community service.
Alyson Stoner. Yes, yes it's true. Alyson Stoner plays Tyler's sister in the movie. In fact she can dance in real life, and the moves she displays in the movie are absolutely amazing and she did a great job. You know Alyson Stoner from Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. She played tomboy Max in "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and in 2008 you could catch her as Caitlyn in "Camp Rock". On Nickelodeon, she starred in an episode of "Drake and Josh". Her character's name is Camille.

Maryland School of The Performing Arts. Nora goes to that school and she is doing a great job balancing dancing and school work. It's a performing arts school and they have so many options for people who want to apply there.
Jenna Dewan. She plays Nora in the movie. Personally, she does a great job and her being in this movie is just so captivating. Nora is a very strong and privileged person and she plays the game by the rules, with no shortcuts. But when she meets Tyler it's like the rules are forbidden and anything and everything goes.
Channing Tatum. Channing Tatum stars as Tyler Gage, a streetwise guy with raw talent [break dancing and free-styling]. After he damages a school he is forced to do community service to make up for the damage he caused. Channing Tatum, has been in other films such as "She's The Man" along with Amanda Bynes and he also starred in the movie "Coach Carter" with Samuel L. Jackson. That's the whole plot of the movie. A rowdy, teenage boy causes havoc at a performing arts school and makes up for it by community service at the same school, and he meets a girl named Nora and sparks start flying.

Director Gordon. Director Gordon gives Tyler a hard time for having cost someone their future. She then accepts that he is dancing with Nora but thinks he only wants to get out of doing his community service. After the end performance, she allows Tyler to transfer to the school at his request.

This is a kind of recurring joke, when Nora first tells him to wear tights he looks at her and says "What...wait a minute, what?" and then, when he shows up without them he says "Does it look like I own tights?". Nora's partner gets injured and she needs someone to practice with. After interviewing a bunch of freshmans, Tyler volunteers and at first she is reluctant but accepts.

PJ. PJ is played by actor DeLon Howell. We don't know much about his character but he's a nasty piece of work. He is a black adolescent who is often in trouble.
Skinny is Mac's younger brother. He is sent home from a party by Mac, so he decides to hijack PJ's SUV for a laugh. He gets out of the car at the party and Mac tells him to stay where he is until they can come out an take him home. But while they are leaving, PJ comes past in someone else's car and shoots Skinny dead.
Yes because of the dance she displays. When the dance is over Andi tells Director Collins "I'll have to work on the toe pointing" and Dr.Collins says "Yeah you will....in my class on Monday" and Andi hugs him and says "Thanks so much".
MSA is The Maryland School of the Arts and it's where Tyler attended in "Step Up".
Yes. After the rain battle, they kiss! They get together because Chase realizes that Andi has a kind heart and that she's a very nice person. Chase starts falling for Andi the minute he sees her which means "Love At First Sight".
That kiss is what won them the MTV 2008 best Movie Kiss Award

Because it is for locals only. The security guard doesn't let them through, so Tuck says "This club is for locals only." Andi gets angry and climbs on stage and says "We call it a battle but what are we really fighting for?" The last thing she says is "If the 410 is too scared to defend their title then hell we'll be outside doing our thing where the streets started!" and that's how the final dance scene begins.
