Saigon. The two escaped on a stolen motorbike and then started working with each other. The name Saigon was used in the movie, but the city's modern name is Ho Chi Minh City.
Jack Wade. He appeared briefly in the movie when he helped 007 to get to the destroyed frigate of the British Navy, the HMS Devonshire. He also appeared in the previous Bond film "GoldenEye".
Hamburg. Carver Media Group Network was situated in Hamburg, Germany. Colonel Wai Lin was a Chinese intelligence agent on the same case, who was sent to Hamburg under the guise of a Xinhua News Agency reporter. Bond was captured by Carver, but he escaped and disrupted Carver Media's international broadcast.
Chakra torture. Dr. Kaufman killed Paris Carver and tried to kill Bond too, but he was shot by Bond in the head. Later, when Bond and Stamper, another henchman of Carver, duelled with each other, Stamper said that Kaufman was like a father to him and then tried to kill Bond.

Henry Gupta. Henry Gupta bought an American made GPS encoder at the bazaar and escaped while everything else was destroyed by the British missile attack. He was responsible for providing his boss Elliot Carver with all the technology he needed to destroy Beijing. When he was captured by 007, Carver himself killed Gupta saying that he had "outlived his contract".
