What does George dip his hot dog in a Twinkie with Easy Cheese in? | 'UHF' Weird AL
|
Dire Straits. 'Money for Nothing' was the song.
Kuni. This came from "Wheel Of Fish," hosted by Kuni, played by Gedde Watanabe. Of course, Phyllis Weaver (the game show contestant) traded it away for what was in the box, which was nothing. Stupid! Very STUPID!
Gandhi. Gandhi was played in this movie by Jay Levey, Al's manager and director of "UHF." He was featured in the segment, "Gandhi II." No more Mr. Passive Resistance...he's out to kick some butt!
"Gun control is for wimps and commies. Listen, let's get one thing straight. Guns don't kill people. I do." Which character spoke this line? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
Earl Ramsey. Ivan Green was chosen to play Earl Ramsey only because he could scrunch up his face.

"Just call me 'Mr. Butterfingers'" was the reaction when which character cut off his thumb? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
Joe Earley. Joe Earley was the shop teacher on the original version of "Town Talk," played by the great Emo Phillips. He amputated his thumb giving a table saw demonstration. This was one of the reasons "UHF" got a PG-13 rating for excessive violence. By today's standards, it seems kind of tame.
Which cast member of "UHF" did not star in a television show after the movie was released? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
Trinidad Silva. Trinidad Silva starred as Jesus Martinez on "Hill Street Blues," but that show finished its run before "UHF" came out. He died in July of 1988, before finishing his scenes for the movie. Michael Richards was, of course, Kramer on "Seinfeld," Fran Drescher was "The Nanny," and Weird Al had a short-lived Saturday morning show on CBS called "The Weird Al Show."
"Today, we are going to learn how to make plutonium using common household items." This was the topic of whose show? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
Philo. Philo was played by Anthony Geary, of "General Hospital" fame. Incidentally, all you need to make plutonium is an eggbeater, a car battery, and a bowl of strawberry jello. Turn the microwave up to 8000 degrees and place all three items in the microwave for twelve minutes. Then leave the house for several hours. (This whole explanation was cut from the movie, just thought you'd like to know.)
In the first wave of original shows U62 produces following the success of "Stanley Spadowski's Clubhouse," which show is not included? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
Strip Solitaire. "Strip Solitaire" is not mentioned until the U62 promo later in the movie.
Gilligan's Isle Thing. Based on the Tone Loc song, "Wild Thing," this song was nowhere in the movie, though on the soundtrack. Other songs on the soundtrack not found in the movie were "Attack Of The Radioactive Hamsters From A Planet Near Mars," "Hot Rocks Polka," "Generic Blues," "She Drives Like Crazy," "Spam," and "The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota."
Fun With Broken Glass. "Fun With Dirt" is the actual name of the show George wants to put on right after the news on Friday. Sounds exciting.
On "Town Talk With George Newman," what did George find in Al Capone's glove compartment? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
Road maps!. But then, what would you expect to find in a glove compartment?
Wheel Of Fish. "Wheel Of Fish" is only mentioned in the first run of programs earlier in the movie.
At the end of the promo, Stanley says, "Be there!" At the time, this was the slogan for which network? | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
NBC. It's one of those dated jokes that doesn't get any funnier with age. Oh well.
We'll end with a guessing game. I'm thinking of something orange. Something orange. Orange. Give up? It's a(n)... | We Got It All On "UHF"
|
orange. This is not completely random. Stanley said this while he was kidnapped. The next thing was something blue, but we never found out what that was.

Channel 8. Channel 8 is the big rival network run by the ruthless R.J. Fletcher who buys the small UHF from Uncle Harvey and tells George he's going to turn it into a parking lot. Luckily, this didn't happen, thanks to Stanley.

|
Edna. Big Edna was George and Bob's boss at the burger joint. Of course, Big Edna overheard this conversation with Bob and she hurled the two of them out the door so hard, I didn't think they'd ever hit the ground!
Complete this sentence spoken by the bum who always asked for change: "That penny was worth a fortune! When I cashed it in, I had enough money to buy a whole bunch of shares. And I got me a real neat watch... it's a _______, see?" | UHF
|
Rolex. R.J. Fletcher wanted a Rolex from his son on Father's Day and was disappointed when he didn't get one. Ironically, the penny he gave this bum outside the office was "worth a fortune" and he bought a Rolex with it. Fletcher had just lost the station, so seeing the bum's Rolex was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Who was the returning champion on the Wheel of Fish who had to choose between the Red Snapper (hmmm... very tasty) or The Box? | UHF
|
Phyllis Weaver. Poor Phyllis Weaver. She says, "I'll take the box... the box!"
Kuni replies, "Good, let's see what's in the box... Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Stupid! You're so stupid!"
After George and Bob got fired from the burger joint, they went to George's apartment. George wanted to know what time it was. How did he find out? | UHF
|
A karate student shoved his arm through the wall. George's apartment was next door to Kuni's karate school. It was loud and noisy, but George didn't seem to mind.
What was the cartoon that they showed on Uncle Nutzy's Clubhouse just before Stanley got to take over? | UHF
|
Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Stanley was watching the cartoon off stage and telling the coyote to "watch out." George was not having a good day as Uncle Nutsy and told Stanley he could do the show if he wanted to. Of course Stanley was a big hit and it became Stanley Spadowski's Clubhouse.
