Blaine Fabin Arrives. 'Stool Boom' details the rush of stool production, 'Nothing Ever Happens on Mars' details the alien landing, and 'Penny For Your Thoughts' is the romantic ballad between a boy going to war and his girl.
He has to work. Johnny is supposed to be the leading heartthrob of the play, but when his father says he has to work, Corky takes over the part.
Matt Kessler plays Johnny Savage, while Brian Doyle-Murray plays his father. Brian Doyle-Murray is the brother of the great Bill Murray.
Buys most of her clothes. Corky's wife is never seen by the town or the audience. It seems that "Bonnie" does not actually exist!
Corky actually meets Dr. Pearl's wife while buying a pants suit for "Bonnie".
Travel agents. The irony is that Ron and Sheila (played by Fred Willard and Catherine O'Hara) have never been outside of Blaine...except once for Ron's surgery. They are also a part of Corky's Blaine Community Players.

Dairy Queen. Libby (played by Parker Posey) quits Dairy Queen once she gets a part in the show, but they tell her she can always go back. She says "I always have a place at the Dairy Queen".
Remains of the Day. In the end, Corky goes back to New York and opens a movie memorabilia store where he sells such things as Anthony Michael Hall and Andrew McCarthy "big heads", and old movie costumes.
