Clay Gephardt. He jumped off the ladder and into the water as part of an initiation to join Landon's clique. Landon's friends took off when he started drowning in the water. Landon stayed behind to make sure he was okay, and got caught in the process.

Only Hope. I think that Mandy did such a good job singing that song, listening to it even put tears in my eyes!
sweater. I thought that it was mean how everyone made fun of her, but we are entitled to wear what we want.
get a tattoo. I think it was cute how he put the tattoo on her. How sweet.
You're my angel. Favorite part of the whole movie was when she said "You're my angel." I really broke down.

Only Hope. She sings 'Only Hope', she plays a club lounge singer in the play.
she has leukemia. She didn't want him to fall in love with her cause she has leukemia and she didn't want a reason to be mad at God.
Nicholas Sparks. Nicholas Sparks wrote the book, along with 'Message in a Bottle'.
Daryl Hannah. Daryl Hannah played his mom, but looked different with dark hair.
Will you marry me?. He asks her to marry him because that is the number one thing on her list - to get married in the church her parents got married in.
Landon's father. Landon went to his father and asked for his help with Jamie, and the only thing he was able to do to help her was pay for her medical care so that she could be home.
Switchfoot. Switchfoot sings songs on the album such as "Dare You to Move", "You", "Learning to Breathe" and "Only Hope".
Tommy "the gun" Thorton. The director of the school play is actually Adam Shankman's (the director) oldest friend.
Nice Bod. If you look closely at the flyers in the movie you'll notice that the body used in the flier is naked, the director literally drew the clothes on the flyer that was given the close up. Hint: Look at the flyer in Eric's hand, you'll see that the black lingerie is not seen.
West Side Story. This line, that Eric says in the movie, is considered the funniest line in the movie by Mandy Moore.
