The Man in the Moon. When Reese appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman", (aired March 2, 1999), he asked her how she came about acting at the age of 14. She replied, "Actually a friend of the family saw an ad in the newspaper in Nashville looking for extras in a movie. I went out there to be an extra in this movie and I ended up getting an audition to play the lead. Then I took a screen test. Then I went to Los Angeles and I ended up getting the lead." "The Man in the Moon" is based on the autobiography of screenwriter Jenny Wingfield's childhood.
Election. The tagline to "American Psycho" is "Killer Looks". The tagline to "Cruel Intentions" is "In the game of seduction, there is only one rule...never fall in love" and the tagline for "Fear" is "Together forever. Or else".

Little Nicky. This very funny movie actually starred Adam Sandler. Reese played Angel Holly. It's tough being the son of the devil, especially when you have no evil in you. It's up to Nicky to learn to be bad and save his father from dying. This was one of many taglines for the film, including "He's never been to earth. He's never even slept over at some other dude's house." and "Be unafraid. Be very unafraid."
Vanity Fair. Reese plays Becky, a working class young woman in the 19th century, climbing her way up the social ladder. The director of this movie, Mira Nair, actually asked Reese if she would consider getting pregnant for the roll of Becky in this movie, when Reese discovered she was already pregnant.
Cruel Intentions. Step-siblings Sebastian and Katherine have a habit of placing bets on things that usually result in destroying people's lives. They bet that Sebastian cannot bed Annette (Witherspoon), an adamant virgin. If he loses, Katherine gets Sebastians's Jaguar. If he wins, he gets Katherine.
Freeway. A wonderful dark comedy following a modern day "Little Red Riding Hood" plot! Vanessa plays a girl with a prostitute for a mother, and a molester for a step-father. After they are put in jail, Vanessa leaves to go live with her grandmother, and makes the mistake of taking a ride from a very disturbed individual, Bob Wolverton (Keifer Sutherland).
A bit of interesting trivia: The photo that Vanessa (Witherspoon) shows Bob (Keifer Sutherland) of her father is actually that of serial killer Richard Speck! Fitting.
Pleasantville. This movie is about a brother and sister who find themselves sucked into a 1950's television show, where life is pleasant, unexciting, and black and white. As they begin to live life as they know it, unperfectly, color begins to appear in their new world.
Twilight. In this great "who done it" movie, a retired detective who lives with an actor and his wife gets caught up in a 20-year-old murder case involving the wife's ex-husband.
