bone fragments. Scully tells Assistant Director Jana Cassidy that the bone fragments are evidence that the bombing in Dallas could have been arranged to destroy the bodies of the firemen, so that their deaths and the reason for them wouldn't have to be explained.

She got stung by a bee. One of the bees from Texas that was infected with an alien virus had stayed with her and decided to sting her just when she and Mulder were about to kiss.
Byers's. Mulder was shot in the head by a so-called 'ambulance driver'. When Mulder called 911, the call was intercepted, and some fake ambulance came to pick Scully up so they could ship her off to Antarctica with all the other people infected with the alien virus. The only way Mulder could get out of the hospital was to pretend he was someone else.

Father Joe. Father Joe (Billy Connolly) is leading a large group of FBI agents in a search for a missing agent. Apparently, Father Joe is imbued with a measure of extra-sensory perception, replete with visions of crimes committed. Father Joe leads the entourage to a spot and starts to dig furiously in the snow. They discover a severed arm.
She is a physician at Our Lady of Sorrows.. Dana Scully is a physician at a Catholic hospital, named Our Lady of Sorrows. She is struggling to find a course of treatment for a young boy, diagnosed with Sandhoff disease. Dana is approached by Special Agent Drummy (Alvin 'Xzibit' Joiner) to help recruit Mulder for a special assignment.

I can't see." Father Joe looks up, and blood is streaming from his eyes.

"Don't give up.". As Mulder begins to have more confidence in Father Joe's visionary power, Scully continues to regard Father Joe with considerable disdain and skepticism. Nevertheless, when Father Joe tells Scully not to give up, it mollifies her resistance to Father Joe. Scully decides to embark on a radical new procedure in an effort to cure her Sandhoff patient.

Dakota Whitney. Whitney and Mulder take notice as Dacyshyn leaves his office building. Dacyshyn panics and flees on foot, through traffic, and eventually into a construction site. Dacyshyn manages to evade Whitney and Mulder in the maze of passageways and construction. Dacyshyn suddenly appears in front of Whitney and pushes her down into a deep shaft. She dies a horrible death at the end of the shaft.
acepromazine. Mulder enters the store and says, "I was wondering if you carry an animal tranquilizer called acepromazine. The owner states that he can't sell it without a prescription. Dacyshyn drives up in his truck and Mulder leaves quickly. Mulder tries to pursue Dacyshyn, but Dacyshyn ambushes Mulder and shoves Mulder down a cliff.
Walter Skinner. Mulder has been captured by Dacyshyn and his medical team. Skinner has come from Washington, in order to assist Scully in the search for Mulder. Mulder is barely conscious, having been tranquilized. Dacyshyn is about to behead Mulder, when Scully appears and disables Dacyshyn.
Father Joe dies of lung cancer.. Mulder says, "The FBI claims that Father Joe was an accomplice." Mulder asserts that there existed a psychic connection between Father Joe and the severed head, since they died at the same time. The newspaper article that Mulder cuts out reads, ""FBI arrests modern-day Frankenstein doctor." Mulder pins the article next to his "I Want to Believe" poster.
Yes. Encouraged by the words of Father Joe and Mulder, Scully summons the courage to proceed with the surgery. We don't know if the operation is successful. If you are patient enough to watch the entire sequence of picture-in-picture credits, you can see Scully and Mulder rowing peacefully towards a tropical island.
