Ringo pushes a button and the song begins to play as the submarine propels through the colorful sea. "When I'm 64", is played when the Beatles pass through the sea of time. They begin to turn into children, John suggests that they move the hands on the clock forward. The clock spins out of control and the Beatles quickly grow very long beards. As the song is sung, they turn back into their original selves. "Eleanor Rigby" and "Yellow Submarine" play at the very beginning of the movie, before the Beatles start their journey. "Only A Northern Song" is the third song that the Beatles sing while in the sea of science, and "Nowhere Man" is sung to Jeremy, Hillary, or Boob, after they pass through the sea of monsters.
