Nimrod. Another overly commercialised album, but a good one nonetheless, featuring "Hitchin' A Ride" and the timeless "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" singles.
A tough one to end on here, but if you've got the album it'll be easy! This album has a very simple cover. It is all black, with a the band's name in the top left corner, apparently faded away so it is only just readable. In the bottom right corner is a faint coiled snake. Recognise it? Metallica. I know many people who have returned this album because they believed the cover to be faulty, i.e. not printed properly! Often referred to as the Black Album, this one features a number of classic rock tracks, by the best rock band of all time. These include "Enter Sandman", "Wherever I May Roam", "Nothing Else Matters" and many, many more.

"Who's Next" - The Who. The Who were Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Keith Moon and John Entwistle. Moon died in 1978. Entwistle died in 2002. The other two didn't die at all.

"Electric Ladyland" - The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The Jimi Hendrix Experience were Mitch Mitchell, Noel Redding and Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix could play the guitar pretty good. He could play left handed as well as right handed. He also played it with his teeth and with his elbows. And sometimes even with his band.

"Exile on Main Street" - Rolling Stones. "Exile On Main Street" was covered in its' entirety by New York band Pussy Galore, which featured Jon Spencer (Blues Explosion), Neil Hagerty (ex-Royal Trux), Julia Cafritz (Free Kitten), Bob Bert (ex-Sonic Youth) and Cristina Martinez (Boss Hog). The album was only released on cassette and is very rare indeed.

"Dark Side of the Moon" - Pink Floyd. It is rumoured that when you play the album "The Dark Side of the Moon" in synch with the movie "The Wizard of Oz" that there are some remarkable coincidences which seem to suggest that the album was written as some sort of alternative soundtrack to the film. Some people have too much time on their hands.

"Road to Ruin" - the Ramones. The different members of the Ramones all called themselves Ramone, as in Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone etc. But the truth is that those weren't their real names. They nicked the idea from Paul McCartney who used to register himself in hotels under the name Ramone.
There are four men standing around, surrounded by ice and snow, waiting for some equipment that's more suitable for their surroundings. They appear to have spent the night at some lush soirée and either got lost on their way home or decided to go on an expedition and forgot to change their clothes, cos they're wearing tuxedos.
