The Good Way. This song, led by Janna Long, talks about how easy it is to get caught up in the thrills of this life and forget God. "The Good Way" tells us to get back to the basics - believing the truth, speaking the truth, and walking in the truth.

Greg Long. Greg and Janna Long married in 1999, but it wasn't until Michael Passons left the group in 2004 that Greg - who had five solo albums - got involved in Avalon. Janna has been in the group since it debuted with "Avalon" in 1996.
They have a daughter, Lillian, who was born in May 2004.

I Bring It to You. "I Bring It to You" is a song that says we should take every single part of our soul and give it to God, and He'll make us whole. Led by Melissa Greene, this stirring song of surrender is at the very least thought provoking.

Overjoyed. "Overjoyed" is actually a song from Janna Long's first solo album, "Janna", but I think that Avalon's rendition is better.
Janna does the lead in this song about loving to spend time with Jesus and marveling at everything He's done.
You Were There. "You Were There" won a spot on WOW Hits 2005 disc 1. Jody McBrayer's awesome vocals and the deep, meaningful lyrics were probably what helped the song onto the best hits of 2005 list.

Far Away From Here. "Far Away From Here" discusses one of my favorite subjects - heaven.
Led by Jody and Melissa, it talks about how heaven will be a place where "Hearts are never broken, dreams don't die... souls are never searching, crying out for a reason why."
What a wonderful place for those who believe in God.

Avalon. Avalon's first album was self-titled. It included ten songs, four of which - "Give it Up," "This Love," "The Greatest Story," and "Picture Perfect World" - were Number One hits on the Christian AC chart.

Janna Potter, Tabitha Fair, Rikk Kittlemann, Michael Passons. Tabitha and Rikk both left Avalon before the release of the debut album (they were replaced by Nikki and Jody). Michael Passons left after the release of "Testify to Love: The Very Best of Avalon," so Janna is the only remaining founding member of Avalon.
Truth. Melissa, Janna, and Jody, as well as Avalon founding member Rikk Kittlemann, were all members of Truth at one point or another. Other well-known Truth alumni include Christian recording artists Steve Green, Russ Lee, Natalie Grant, and Point of Grace member Leigh Cappallino. (The Continentals is a short-term music missions organization, Go Fish is an a capella group, and Faithful is just made up.)
6. There were six: five studio albums ("Avalon," "A Maze of Grace," "In a Different Light," "Joy: A Christmas Collection," and "Oxygen") and the remix album "O2: Avalon Remixed." The best-of album included songs from all of the albums except "O2," plus three new songs: "New Day," "Everything to Me," and "Pray."
Rich Mullins. Aaron Neville sang "By Heart, By Soul" with Avalon on their "Oxygen" CD. Russ Taff contributed to Avalon's remake of his song "We Will Stand." And of course, Greg Long is a member of Avalon.
Testify to Love: The Very Best of Avalon. Michael, one of the founding members of Avalon, left after the release of the "best of" album to pursue a solo career. He was replaced by Janna Long's husband Greg.
Jesus: The Epic Mini-Series. It's on the "Jesus" soundtrack. "Fly to You" is not included on any Avalon albums. Several other prominent Christian and non-Christian artists recorded songs for the "Jesus" soundtrack, including Steven Curtis Chapman, DC Talk, Leann Rimes, and 98 Degrees.
Greg Long. Yes, "The Creed" was Greg's first album. He had the lead vocal in "Slowly" and "Love Won't Leave You." Also, "I Survive" was a duet between him and Melissa.
Avalon Fan Clan. It's the Avalon Fan Clan. Founded by Avalon fan Carissa Ramsdell, the Avalon Fan Clan became the official Avalon fan club in March 2006.

Love Won't Leave You. "Love Won't Leave You" was the first single released from the "Stand" CD, in the United States. "Orphans of God" followed later. Neither "The Other Side" nor "I Survive" was ever released to radio.
