Late for the Sky. "Before the Deluge" can be found on the album "Late for the Sky". It was released in 1974 and is considered by many Jackson Browne fans to be his best album even though it did not create any hit singles. I highly recommend reading the lyrics to "Before the Deluge", in my opinion it is one the best songs ever written. The song starts out with the following lyrics:
