2000. Brooks & Dunn have won the Vocal Duo of the Year category every year since 1990, with two exception.
Montgomery Gentry won it 2000.
Sugarland won it in 2007.
Carrie Underwood. While Sara Evans has won the ACM Female Vocalist award, she has never won the CMA trophy for the same category.

Rascal Flatts. For the sixth straight year, Rascal Flatts won the Vocal Group of the Year Award. Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Don Rooney make up this award-winning band.
Lady Antebellum. Lady Antebellum is a trio out of Nashville, Tennessee consisting of Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott.

Brad Paisley. Brad Paisley, a native of West Virginia, won his second CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Award. He also won an award for Music Video of the Year for "Waitin' on a Woman". His opening number with Keith Urban showed some serious guitar-playing talent.
Kenny Chesney. Kenny won for the fourth time, and third straight year. Although nominated for seven 2008 CMAs, this was his only winner.
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were the co-hosts of the 2008 Country Music Awards. The award show was held at the Sommet Center in Nashville Tennessee on November 12, 2008.
