Which band member formed the group, in June of 1978?Dead Kennedys

East Bay Ray. Contrary to popular belief, Ray actually formed the band after seeing his first punk show in San Francisco. Within weeks, the band was already recording demos.

On March 25, 1980 the band performed at the Bay Area Music Awards. What song did they play, in its entirety?Dead Kennedys

Pull My Strings. The Awards Show was for new and up-coming 'New Wave' bands. DK was expected to play their biggest underground hit at the time, "California Über Alles". About 15 seconds into the song, singer Jello exclaimed, "Hold it! We've gotta prove that we're adults now. We're not a punk rock band, we're a new wave band." And then they broke into "Pull My Strings". This was the one and only time the band ever played the song, either live or in studio.

Which member of the band left in January of 1981 to pursue a career in architecture?Dead Kennedys

Ted. Ted left the group in early 1981 after drumming through the band's first album, "Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables". Ted even helped to find the Dead Kennedys' new drummer, D. H. Peligro, before leaving.

The bassist for the band's entire career was never replaced. What is his real name?Dead Kennedys

Geoffrey Lyall. Geoffrey Lyall was born in Detroit, Michigan, in the year 1949. He's better known by his stage name, Klaus Flouride. He wore coke-bottle glasses.

The group broke up in 1986 due to Jello Biafra allegedly witholding royalties from the rest of the band. Which band member was reluctant at first to sue Biafra, but was soon 'recruited' by the other two?Dead Kennedys

Klaus Flouride. Jello and Klaus were buddies, and Klaus didn't think it was fair to sue Jello until he was informed how much he was really entitled to.
