Okaysions. "I'm A Girl Watcher" gave The Okaysions the credentials to become members of the One-Hit-Wonder fraternity. The band formed in North Carolina and originally called themselves The Kays. Their only hit was produced and released by a local label, but when the master was picked up by ABC Records the tune received national attention and became a Top Ten hit. The original master has long since disappeared so any re-releases are simply dubs of the original 45 RPM record. The band still performs Beach Music in the Carolinas with Wayne Pittman on guitar being the only founding member still in the lineup.

Scott English and Larry Weiss wrote the tune as well as other tunes including the 1968 hit, "Bend Me, Shape Me" by American Breed. Scott English teamed with Richard Kerr to write Barry Manilow's 1974 hit, "Mandy". Among Larry Weiss' solo songwriting efforts was the 1974 hit, "Rhinestone Cowboy".

As "Thank You Girl" it was originally released on the flip-side of "From Me to You" (1963). "Another Girl" was a recorded by the the Beatles for their 1965 "Help!" movie soundtrack.
Steve Lawrence. Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote "Go Away Little Girl". In 1962 Steve Lawrence released the first version of the song for Columbia Records and it stayed in the top spot for two weeks until "Walk Right In" by The Rooftop Singers became the Number One hit. Steve was a regular on "The Steve Allen Show" in the late fifties with his wife, Eydie Gorme. He has appeared on several variety shows and has also guest starred on many television series. He released other hits such as "Pretty Blue Eyes", but "Go Away Little Girl" was his only Number One hit.
Donny Osmond released a cover version in 1971 which also reached Number One on the Hot 100. His version was bumped from the top spot after the three-week reign by Rod Stewart's "Maggie May". Del Shannon recorded "Hey! Little Girl" in 1961. He and Johnny Mathis both did cover versions of "Go Away Little Girl" which did not fare as well on the Billboard charts.

Them. The band Them formed in Belfast in the spring of 1964 and were packaged as part of the British Invasion. Vocalist and harmonica player Van Morrison was one of the founding members. They began a steady engagement at Maritime Hotel and it wasn't long before there were lines of fans trying to get admission into the small venue. Their first single, "Don't Start Crying Now", faltered, but when they released their version of Big Joe Williams' "Baby Please Don't Go" they began appearing on television and getting airplay. They followed with their hit, "Gloria", and began touring steadily. Morrison left and began a solo career, releasing "Brown Eyed Girl" the following year.
The Shadows of Knight released a successful cover version of "Gloria" in the US. The Hollies had several British Invasion-era hits such as "Bus Stop" and "Look Through Any Window". Status Quo is best remembered for "Pictures of Matchstick Men".
Forever Your Girl. "Forever Your Girl" was a single release from Paula Abdul's 1989 album of the same name. The album took 62 weeks to finally reach Number One on the Billboard 200 album charts. "Straight Up" was the first single hit from the album, followed by "Forever Your Girl". In May of 1989 "Forever Your Girl" spent two weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100. "Cold Hearted" and "Opposites Attract" were also hit singles making a total of four Number One hits from the album.
"The Girl Can't Help It" was a 1956 film starring Jayne Mansfield. Little Richard sang the title song in the movie. "Georgy Girl" was the title of a 1966 film. The Seekers recorded the song "Georgy Girl" for the film and "Who's That Girl?" was recorded by Madonna for the 1987 movie "Who's That Girl", also starring Madonna.
The Temptations. Smokey Robinson and Ronald White of The Miracles composed "My Girl", which was the first Number One single for The Temptations. It was was the first song by the group to feature David Ruffin as lead vocalist. Smokey Robinson believed that Ruffin had a unique vocal quality and was determined to compose a song that would showcase his mellow style. After "My Girl" became a success Ruffin was featured as the lead vocalist for other hits by the group.
Otis Redding released a version of the song a year later and since then several other notable artists have covered the song including Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. The song has also been featured in several movies and television shows.
Foreigner. Thomas Dolby recorded the synthesizer track for Foreigner on "Waiting For A Girl Like You". Mick Jones and Lou Gramm of Foreigner composed the hit that was on their 1981 "4" album. The song stayed at the number two position for ten weeks because "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John and Hall and Oates's hit song, "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)", kept the Foreigner song from hitting the peak slot. In 1984 the band finally hit Number One on Billboard in the US with "I Want to Know What Love Is".

Calendar Girl. "Calendar Girl" was Neil's sixth chart hit. In 1947 Neil earned a scholarship on piano for the Preparatory Division for Children at Juilliard School of Music. He began a composing collaboration as a teen with a neighbor, Howard Greenfield. In addition to Neil's hit they also composed for other artists, including Connie Francis' "Stupid Cupid" and "Love Will Keep Us Together" by Captain and Tennille. Neil's first hit was the 1958 song, "The Diary". He kept releasing Top Ten hits in until "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" reached Number One in 1962. He did a ballad version of the same song in 1976 that peaked at Number Eight.
"Got a Girl" was a Number 24 1960 song by The Four Preps. "Image of a Girl" was a 1960 Top Ten hit for The Safaris and "Little Bitty Girl" by Bobby Rydell reached Number 19 in 1960
Seals and Crofts. Jim Seals and Dash Crofts were Texas natives. Dash Crofts was a drummer for a Texas based band and before long Jim Seals had joined the band. They relocated to Los Angeles and became part of the group, The Champs, who released the song "Tequila" in 1958. Glen Campbell joined the band and later the three were part of a band called Glen Campbell and the GCs until 1964. After trying their luck with bands, Seals and Crofts decided to perform as a duo and after releasing some singles that went below the radar they finally hit it big with the Number Seven "Summer Breeze" in 1972. The following year "Diamond Girl" reached Number Four.
Jim's brother, Dan Seals, became half of the duo of England Dan and John Ford Coley. They had a 1976 hit with "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight". The Alessi Brothers released "Oh Lori" in the early seventies. Simon and Garfunkel released "America" in 1972.

She met Josh Duhamel in 2004 when she had a guest role on "Las Vegas" and the pair got married in 2006.
