Sweet Children. That should have been easy. "Dominated Love Slave", in case you've not heard it, is hilarious. In my opinion, it's worth buying the album just for that song. It involves Tre and Mike doing some very interesting voices.

Billie Joe. If you look at who wrote the songs, nearly every song is written by Billie Joe. Tre' Cool and Mike write a couple, but for the most part, they're written by Billie Joe. An interesting fact is that several of the songs pertain directly to him, such as "Basket Case," which was written to help him deal with his panic attacks and anxiety.

Mike. Mike was adopted after his mother, who was a heroin addict, didn't think she could care for him.

Tre Cool. John Kriftmeyer, (aka Al Sobrante) was the original drummer for Sweet Children, which evolved into Green Day. John quit without telling Billie Joe, which made poor Billie very mad, so he hired Tre without telling John. "We probably wouldn't have become famous if John had stayed" says Billie Joe.

Frank Edwin Wright III. With the given name of Frank Edwin Wright III, I can see why he changed it to Tre' Cool. Tre' Cool means "Very Cool" in French, and it was given to him by a man named Livermore, owner of Lookout! Records.

Sweet Children. They were originally "Sweet Children", but changed their name to "Green Day" because there was another band called "Sweet Child", and they thought that their name was too close to that.

Sweet Children. The first album the band recorded was '1,000 Hours' In early 1989. They were still called Sweet Children then but by the time it came out in April 1989 they had changed their name to Green Day. This all happened before Tre Cool joined the band. Tre was in The Lookouts until the Summer of 1990 and joined Green Day in November 1990.

Sweet Children. The name "Green Day" came about when the boys were watching Sesame Street. Ernie mentioned the words "green day" and they thought that was funny. They used it as an inside joke, but decided to use it for the band name. That's why on the original copies of Dookie, there is a picture of Ernie. Unfortunately, Sesame Street threatened to sue so they took it off.
