Rick James. Teena Marie was on Barry Gordy's label, Motown; however,Rick James is the man that gets all the credit for Teena Marie's success.
sucker . "Sucka for Your Love" is one of my favorite songs by Teena Marie. It was a duet Rick James and the song can be found on Teena Marie's Greatest Hits on Motown. "Well allight you freaks!"
My Dear Mr. Gaye. She wrote the Song "My Dear Mr. Gaye" in memory of the great Marvin Gaye. This is truly a wonderful tribute to a wonderfully talented man.

No. Motown didn't put Teena's picture on the cover because they didn't want people to know that she was white. They just wanted everyone to enjoy the music before they found out her race. Instead the album is ivory colored and has various clouds and an ocean pictured on the front.

I Need Your Lovin'. 'Irons' is probably my favorite work of hers.
her father. There is a picture of him on the back of the album. He passed away in 1976, but he would always tell her that she had 'so many irons in the fire', which is how the album got it's name.

Portuguese Love. She undoubtedly wrote many songs inspired by James, but none of the ones listed above were. Rick wrote 'Fire and Desire' and the others she wrote about someone other than Rick.
Emerald. Strangely this album was voted one of the top 500 metal albums of all time by 'Stairway to Hell' catalogue!
Ooo La La La. He hates this song although it has been sampled by many hip hop artists. Its not one of Teena's favorites either.
