 Marley, Bob
Robert Nesta Marley. He was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, guitarist and Rastafarian prophet.
Central Park. He had recently done two shows at Madison Square Garden as part of the "Uprising" Tour.

Miami. Marley wanted to spend his final days in Jamaica, but became too ill on the flight home from Germany. He was forced to leave the plane in Miami so that he could receive immediate medical attention.

Norval Sinclair Marley. Norval Sinclair Marley was born in 1895 in Jamaica. He was a Marine officer as well as a plantation overseer.
Cedella Booker. Cedella Booker was 18-years old when she married Norval Sinclair Marley.

He was shot by unknown gunmen.. Bob Marley, his wife and his manager, Don Taylor were wounded in an assault by unknown gunmen inside Marley's home. Bob had only minor injuries to his chest and arm. The shooting was thought to have been politically motivated. Regardless, the concert went on and an injured Marley performed as scheduled.

The One Love Peace Concert. The "One Love Peace Concert" was held on April 22, 1978 at Heroes Park Circle in Kingston, Jamaica.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (He had an airport in Jamaica named after him., He had a statue of his likeness erected at the UN., He was named honorary ambassador to the US.).
