"Brand New Girlfriend" By Steve Holy. "Maybe we should start seeing other people.
baby, things are moving way to fast for me."
(O.k. This is a little silly. A man breaks up with a girl, and in a few days flat (it didn't say how long, so, I'm estimating here) he gets himself a brand new girlfriend, like the song says.)
"Brand New Girlfriend" - 2006
"A Good Man" By Emerson Drive. "I just need a little green in my pocket
So I can buy my buddies a round."
(This song talks about a person who wants to be remembered as, well, a good man.)
"Countrified" - 2006
"I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" By Shania Twain. "I’m only interested if I can
have you for life."
(In the video, she had to use a futuristic motorcycle to get rid of a huge monster.)
"Up!" - 2002
"Hot Mama" By Trace Adkins. "You want that body back
you had at seventeen."
(I really don't think "Lazarus, Come Forth" is a Country song. But, anyways, this is about a woman who wants to look like she did when she was 17, but her husband says, "girl, you're already one Hot Mama!")
"Comin' On Strong" - 2003
Can you get the song that's "Gone Country"?
"Get it rockin'! Our boots are knockin'!
We're gonna say it proud... | The Next Country Music Quiz

"Loud" by Big & Rich. "WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY AND WE LIKE IT LOUD!"
(This song is the theme song for the CMT show "Gone Country" hosted by John Rich, member of Big & Rich (in case you didn't already know.) This song was also played at the ACMs, and was dedicated to Porter Wagoner. Rest in peace.)
"Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace" - 2007
Here's a mysterious one. Can you get it?
"She runs back down the hallway,
and through the bedroom door.
She reaches for the pistol,
kept in the dresser drawer." | The Next Country Music Quiz

"The Thunder Rolls" by Garth Brooks. "She tells the lady in the mirror,
'He won't do this again!'
Cause tonight will be the last time
She'll wonder where he's been!"
(I apologize to those who might not have gotten this one right, this was a verse released *only* on the Garth Brooks Double Live cds, which were released in 1998. The verse was removed because people on Music Row had thought it was too violent [look at today's music!])
What about this golden oldie?
"Today, I got a long letter
From one who still cares for me.
She asked lots of questions
Like would I call her sometime..." | The Next Country Music Quiz

"Wine Colored Roses" by George Jones. "And was I getting back on my feet?
She asked if I had quit drinking
Like I promised her long ago.
One dozen reasons to tell her I love her,
Oh, but I found a way to say 'no.'"
(In this, George has received a letter, and one of the questions asked was if he stopped drinking. He had simply found a way to say no.)
