In The Shadows. In April of 2000, the band was known as Rasmus. This all changed. They decided to change their name to "The Rasmus". They legally signed their name in Scandinavia while producing a new CD.

Guilty. In order to get into the mood of making darker, moodier, and more hard rock music, the band watched hours and hours of horror movies. The band formed ideas for new songs, and new ways of producing their music while watching horror movies.

First Day Of My Life. The Rasmus went to Sweden to record "Dead Letters" after touring in Denmark. They went back to Sweden because they had a long time friend in the recoding business that would help them produce their next CD.
Finland. In 1996, The Rasmus released their debut album "Peep". Not long after that, it went gold.
Late 1994. The Rasmus formed at their high school and played for the first time on stage.
Last Generation. "Hide From the Sun" is the band's sixth album, not including "Hell of a Collection" which is a collection of hits from their first three albums. I hope you enjoyed my quiz and learned something from it!
Shot. "Shot" was an obvious opener for the album. Lauri Ylonen said, "a friend of ours heard it and said after hearing five seconds that he recognized that it was our band. This is cool as we have somehow managed to create our own sound.".
blood. The lyrics are from the song "Immortal". "Hide From the Sun" was produced by Martin Hansen and Mikael Nord Andersson, who also produced "Dead Letters" and "Into".
Sail Away. According to The Rasmus' UK website, "Sail Away" was a suprise choice of song to keep on the album. Lauri Ylonen said, "It started off as a campfire song and I played it to the guys and they thought it was really good. I told them ah it's just one of those wimpy kind of songs." The other band members thought it was so good they recorded it, and it even made the final cut!
laughter. These lyrics are from "Heart of Misery". Did you know that Pauli and Lauri have a studio and record company called Dynasty, based in Helsinki?
Night After Night (Out of the Shadows). "Night after Night (Out of the Shadows)" is a follow up to The Rasmus' hit single "In The Shadows". It is based on Ylonen's feelings during the busy touring after the success of "Dead Letters".
Lucifer's Angel. According to frontman Lauri Ylonen, "Lucifer's Angel" has an urban witch-hunting theme. It's about someone who has visions, but they are often pushed away because it makes poeple feel uncomfortable. He got the idea from ancient Scandinavian legends and says, "Whenever someone comes up with something different, there are always people who are scared of them.".
swan. These lyrics are from "No Fear". It was the first single released off this album and went straight to number one in the Finnish sales chart and Finnish air play chart! Wow!
Dead Promises. The Rasmus consists of Aki Hakala (drums), Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Lauri Ylonen (vocals).
